Welcoming Dr. Melanie Bale, OD. 👁️
Dr. Bale is a residency-trained, board-certified optometrist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-Optometry from Ferris State University, where she was an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha. During her undergraduate studies, she was honored with the Torch Award for completing over 200 hours of volunteer service, the highest distinction awarded to Ferris students.
She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she served as President of the Pennsylvania Optometric Student Association, Trustee of the American Optometric Student Association, and was inducted into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society.
Following graduation, Dr. Bale completed her residency at Omni Eye Services in North Jersey, where she focused on the treatment and management of ocular diseases, including glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, cataracts (pre- and post-operative care), and various corneal disorders. During her residency, she presented continuing education (CE) lectures on the impact of ocular anatomy on glaucoma progression and cataract management.
Dr. Bale is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians.
She is currently providing comprehensive optometric care at EANJ, with a focus on the full scope of eye care services, ranging from corrective lenses to the management of glaucoma at all stages.
Dr. Bale enjoys spending time with friends, attending sporting events and concerts, and being outdoors with her German Shepherd, Jax.
