Members of the Affinity by Molina Healthcare team proudly volunteered with God's Love We Deliver (GLWD) earlier this month to prepare packaged food for people in need.

The mission of GLWD is to improve the health and well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other serious illnesses in the greater New York City metro area by delivering nutritious and high-quality meals to them.

We love partnering with organizations that share our commitment to supporting our communities.

According to the American Cancer Society, women at average risk for breast cancer can start getting a yearly mammogram at age 40.

A mammogram is a kind of x-ray used by doctors to look for changes in breast tissue that may be caused by breast cancer. It's an important, potentially life-saving, screening for women.

Mammograms are safe and effective, but you may feel nervous before having your first one. These facts and tips can help you feel more at ease and make your experience more comfortable.

We care about what you think!

Some Affinity by Molina Healthcare members will soon get a survey in the mail. It’s called the CAHPS® Survey. It asks questions about your health care. For example, it may ask how easy it is to see a doctor, how well your doctor listens and how we can make your care better.

If you get the survey, please fill it out. Your answers help us make changes that help you and your family. We may add more doctors, offer more video visits and make it easier to get your medicine.

Your voice helps shape your care. If you see the CAHPS Survey in your mailbox, we’d love to hear from you!

For questions contact Member Services at (800) 223-7242 (TTY: 711) Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Do you know your lemons? It's recommended that women perform breast self-exams monthly, but what should you be looking for when you do? This graphic from KnowYourLemons.org explains what to look for and feel when you check your breasts each month.

Regular self-exams will help you to feel and see what is normal for your breasts and detect any changes in them. Noticing and reporting any changes, like lumps or skin discoloration, to your doctor can help them catch and treat signs of breast cancer.

Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration of resilience, tradition and community. It’s also an opportunity to highlight the meaningful work being done every day to support families and improve access to care.

Through The MolinaCares Accord, we are honored to stand alongside organizations nationwide — whether providing bilingual maternal health services, creating opportunities for young leaders or expanding access to essential resources. These stories remind us of the power of partnership in building a healthier future for all.

September is National Deaf Awareness Month, a time to increase understanding of the unique needs and challenges of those who are deaf or hard of hearing. At Molina Healthcare, we understand the importance of fostering inclusive environments where all individuals have the resources they need to communicate effectively.

Want to learn how to communicate with those who are deaf or hard of hearing? You can start by practicing these simple phrases in American Sign Language, which uses hand and face movements as a form of expression.
