In shorter terms, toxic positivity is an unhealthy coping mechanism when an individual is pressured or suppressing negative emotions to only display positive ones. This can occur with feelings, experiences, and reactions and is extremely unhealthy! 🤕

If this occurs for long periods of time this can lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms as well as trauma and isolation.
