Over the weekend, members of the Class of 2025 AI Scholars braved the cold weather to gather at ASGE IT&T for an energizing, full-day of collaboration, innovation and momentum.

The day kicked off with rapid-fire lightning teaching talks, sharing high-impact insights across the AI development lifecycle, datasets, performance metrics, human–AI collaboration and more.

After lunch the scholars presented their project progress, challenges and areas for feedback. Followed by breakout sessions where facilitators and mentors provided targeted, actionable suggestions to address bottlenecks and create action plans.

The meeting closed with reflection and renewed enthusiasm as the scholars continue advancing impactful AI work in GI.

Applications for the 2026 ASGE Endoscopic Training Award are now open. This an exciting opportunity for early-career professionals to expand their GI endoscopy expertise through focused training at leading institutions in the U.S. or abroad.

Eligible applicants include third-year advanced fellows and junior faculty within their first 5–10 years of appointment. Now is the time to begin preparing the required materials, including learning objectives, CV, host institution support, and letters of recommendation. Applications will be due February 15, 2026.

Up to three awardees will receive:

✨ $5,000 stipend
✨ 1–3 months of U.S. or international training
✨ ASGE recognition at DDW
