A Note from Azizi...
This is a bittersweet moment for me and for all of us at the Center for Creative Arts Therapy. After almost 15 years of providing in-house Counseling services and Drama and Expressive Arts Therapy training programs, we have made the difficult decision to close this chapter of our work, with our final day of service on Sunday, April 27th.
When I first opened the doors to the Center, it was built on a vision: to bring healing through the arts, to create a space where people could express, explore, and transform their pain into resilience.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented therapists, trainers, and artists; people who poured their hearts into this work, showing up with compassion, creativity, and unwavering dedication to our clients and students.
To every therapist who sat with someone in their darkest moments, to every client who trusted us with their story, and to every student who trained with us and carried this work forward; you have all made an incredible impact. A special thank you to the following people:
💚 Leslie Kane, for being my ride or die all these years, and for being the implementer to my vision. The Center would not have made it as long as it did without you, and our students have you to thank for their progress.
💚 Dr. Pamela Slane, for consistently stepping up and into roles that needed to be filled in order for us to give the best care to our clients and our team of therapists.
💚 Jaclyn Hofstetter, for your heart and devotion to your clients and passion for art therapy. Our clients have been blessed by your skills and utmost care for their treatment.
💚 Jennifer Baffi, for your humor, candor and trust in our team. Your skills as an art therapist have ensured our clients' therapeutic progress.
These teammates have all been instrumental in shaping our programs, our clients, our impact, our students, and our community.
While we are closing the doors to our Counseling and Training Centers, I will continue to offer corporate and community training, psychological safety programs, leadership development, and workplace wellness services.
Thank you for your patience, support, and belief in the work we do. While this particular chapter is ending, our mission remains; to harness the power of creativity and mental health to build resilience and make a lasting impact on the world.
With deepest gratitude,
Azizi & The Center for Creative Arts Therapy Team
