She specializes in Prosthodontics. She is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. At this organization, she served as a member of the admissions committee for 3 years. She obtained her graduate degree at Loyola University School of Dentistry in Maywood, IL, where she completed the specialty of Prosthodontics. She served seven years as a faculty member of the Prosthodontics  department at the same institution. Dr. Banuelos obtained her General Dentistry degree from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Dr. Banuelos has volunteered her services to under-priviledged families in Honduras in the past. She loves to cook, travel, and spend time with her family. She resides in the western suburbs of Chicago.
