At 104, Simpson Meadows’ very own Caroline Emplit reminds us that age is just a number! Caroline still hits the gym regularly, sews pillowcases by the thousands, and keeps two books going at once. Her motto “Get up and get busy,” has guided her from hauling ice blocks as a child to helping digitize a school library in her 90's and much more. What an inspiration! :sparkles:

Today we had the honor of hosting nationally touring illusionist and magician, Josh Farley! He wowed us with his magic, pulled a few coins out of our ears, and may have even fooled a few of us 😉. A fun afternoon filled with laughter, fresh popcorn, and community cheer! 🍿🪄

We were recently honored with a visit from Dr. Elizabeth Santigli, a resident of Austria who has also spent time in the United States. She shared the rich history of her beautiful country and gave us an insightful look into what life in Austria is like today. We’re grateful for the knowledge she shared — it was both educational and inspiring!

Today’s wine & cheese social had a sunny twist — fresh strawberry shortcake, summer punch, light wines, delicious fruit, and beautiful fresh sunflowers filled the room! Sinatra-style tunes set the mood, and four lucky residents took home sunflower bouquet raffles! 🌻🎶🍷

This week during our “Gardening with Sarah” session, residents spent an afternoon tending to our indoor garden—nurturing plants, sharing stories, and enjoying the therapeutic benefits of gardening together. 🌱🪴 As a delicious reward, we teamed up to make a beautiful heirloom tomato salad!
