Thank you to everyone for all your kind words as we spent our week celebrating our Activity Director Sharla! We were able to spoil her with snacks, gifts, and dips each day and ended the week with a birthday cake. 🎂 At Bingo Residents and staff got to sing Happy Birthday as she celebrates her birthday today! Thank you Sharla for all of the joy and entertainment you bring to our facility!🎉🎊

We celebrated Kansas Day with a trip down the yellow brick road and we had Dorothy, the Lion, Scarecrow, the tin Man, Glenda the good witch , the wicked witch, a flying monkey and the Wizard in-house to pass snacks and start the viewing of The Wizard of Oz.

Hello, my name is John Rainbolt, and I have proudly served as an administrator for several years. Throughout my career, I have passionately dedicated myself to empowering teams, as I firmly believe this is vital to nurturing a positive, productive environment. My journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of administrative leadership in rehabilitation and long-term care. I am always eager to share my experiences and contribute meaningfully to our community.
I have a genuine passion for educating the public about living with chronic illness, demonstrating that it can be not only manageable but also a source of profound meaning and purpose for individuals and the nursing home community as a whole. My aspiration is to inspire a collective effort to enhance the quality of life for everyone involved. I am thrilled to have discovered Downs Care and Rehabilitation Center, a true gem in North Kansas, where we deliver highly skilled and genuinely compassionate care to everyone who walks through our doors. Your prayers and support for our small-town nursing home and my endeavors to achieve excellence are greatly appreciated.

Some of our staff went out and spread some Holiday goodie baskets to some of our local clinics and Mitchell County Hospital! We are so thankful for our Healthcare teams who help take care of our residents! Merry Christmas!🎄🎅🎁
