Massage isn’t a luxury.
It’s nervous system care.

• Calms the stress response
• Reduces muscle guarding
• Improves circulation
• Supports recovery between visits
• Helps the body feel safe enough to release

When your body can relax, healing happens more easily.

Please help us welcome Rising Hart, LMBT to the Crystalign team!
Rising is here to serve you with healing hands 🙌 on Mondays and can be booked on our website or by calling our front desk.

Rising found her way into massage therapy after years of desk work left her navigating chronic pain - an experience that sparked her commitment to understanding the body and supporting others through similar challenges. Trained in Swedish and Thai massage, she blends relaxation-based techniques with a growing interest in trigger point therapy to help clients experience meaningful, lasting relief.
Outside the treatment room, Rising enjoys time with her beloved 15-year-old dog and expresses her creativity through painting and other artistic explorations. A dedicated lifelong learner, she regularly pursues additional trainings to expand her skills and better serve her clients.

Rising aims to bring a calm, focused presence to each session, helping clients feel comfortable, understood, and confident in the care they receive.

Tight, clicking shoulders?
The issue isn’t always the shoulder joint itself.

When the tissues around the collarbone and shoulder stay tight, movement can feel restricted and clicking can show up.
In this video, I’m demonstrating a gentle cupping technique to help improve circulation, ease tension, and support smoother shoulder motion.

This is a simple, anatomy-based self-care approach I use clinically to help restore more comfortable movement.

⚠️ Educational only. Move gently. Avoid if you have vascular conditions or recent surgery.

Follow for practical, doctor-led mobility and self-care tips.

If your jaw feels tight, sore, or tired — and massaging the outside of your face doesn’t help — you may be missing this muscle.

The pterygoid sits deep inside the jaw and plays a major role in clenching, grinding, TMJ tension, and even headaches.
When it stays overactive, the jaw never truly relaxes.

In this video, I’m showing how to gently release the pterygoid from the outside of the mouth using slow, mindful pressure.
You’re looking for a small, tender, pea-sized spot — that sensitivity tells you you’re in the right place.

Move slowly. Less pressure is more effective here.

This is a simple, anatomy-based self-care technique I teach to help calm the jaw and nervous system — especially for women navigating midlife stress and tension.

⚠️ Educational only. Not a medical diagnosis.

Save this if jaw tension is part of your daily
life.

Touching your toes after sitting all day is the last thing your body needs!!

When you sit for hours, your body is in deep flexion the entire time:
• hips folded
• psoas shortened
• hip flexors tight
• pelvis pulled forward

So when you stand up and immediately try to fold forward again —
or pull your knees to your chest —
you’re forcing your body deeper into the same pattern that created the tension in the first place.

✨ You’re stretching the wrong direction.

Instead, your body needs the opposite movement to unwind:

✅ The fix: A simple lunge stretch on each side

Do this instead:
1. Stand or kneel in a gentle lunge
2. Let the front knee bend
3. Sink the hips forward slightly
4. Keep your chest lifted
5. Breathe into the front of the hip

This lengthens:
• hip flexors
• deep psoas
• quadriceps
• the entire front line that tightens when you sit

Your body isn’t tight because you’re “getting older.”
It’s tight because it’s adapting to the position you’re in most of the day.

✨ Move the opposite way → and everything opens up.

In my opinion, each chiropractic adjustment should be different. Palpation skills must be honed in a way that allows for specific, unique adjustments for that individual, so no two adjustments are the same. If they are the same, the chiropractor has become a machine, just going through the motions of mobilizing the spine. That is not really chiropractic…that’s called “phoning it in” because you’ve become bored. To really read the body, read the energy of the body, read the flow between the body and the energetic system…it takes years of observation, deduction skills and understanding patterns, and applying it over and over and over again, then tweaking your technique so you get consistent RESULTS. I could post a full 15 min adjustment to be able to show what I am talking about, but no one would watch that all the way through so here’s another timelapsed one!
