National Correctional Officers Week

Your brain doesn’t know the difference between threat and memory.

So it stays on.

Behind the walls, that means:
hypervigilance… adrenaline… no off switch.

Most people will never see it.
But you carry it.

What gets trained can be retrained.
You can learn to stand down—not just stay switched on.

During National Correctional Officers Week, we recognize The Thin Gray Line.

🐾 Remi sees the moment it shifts—
when you finally breathe.

That’s not weakness.
That’s regulation.

Respect to The Thin Gray Line.

You carry more than most will ever understand.

Happy National Animal Control Officer Week!!

Most people think animal control is just about strays.

It’s not.
It’s abuse.
Neglect.
Danger.

And still showing up with compassion.

During National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week, we recognize the work most people never see—and the weight that comes with it.

To every Animal Control Officer:
You are seen. You are valued. And you matter.

🐾 Even the strongest need a moment to breathe. We are always here for you - Texas Law Enforcement Peer Network

The scream.
The silence.
The moment everything changes.

And you stay calm…
because you have to.

Before the sirens ever hit the road—
you are already in it.

Dispatchers don’t just answer calls.
They absorb chaos, control it, and move it forward…
over and over again.

And when the line disconnects?
It doesn’t disconnect for you.

As the North Texas Regional Director for the Texas Law Enforcement Peer Network , I’ve seen what this job carries—and what happens when it has nowhere to go.

That’s why peer support isn’t optional.
It’s survival.

And sometimes…
support looks like a conversation.
Sometimes it looks like someone who understands.
And sometimes—it looks like a K9 named Remi 🐾
showing up, breaking tension, and reminding you to breathe.

To every dispatcher this National Telecommunications Week:

You are the calm in chaos.
You are the steady in the storm.
You are the voice people trust when nothing else makes sense.

You are not “just dispatch.”
You are critical. You are trusted. You are needed.

And you matter more than you think! We are always here for you 24/7.

Squirrel chased. Morning walk nailed. Fence MVP’d the win. 😅🐾

But here’s the real headline—she can go from “zero to squirrel” to “stillness ninja” in a blink.
Locked-in. Motionless. Unbothered. For shockingly long. 🐶✨

Chasing joy. Practicing calm. Losing only to fences.
Not a bad way to start the day. ☀️💙
