I am the owner of Speak Easy Pediatrics, a private practice treating children within the Tampa Bay area. Speak Easy provides
community-based therapy to children ages 18 months-18 years. I specialize in early intervention; while utilizing a coaching model, and emphasizing family involvement, parent education and training. Therapy provided within a child's natural environment is not only convenient

for parents, but comfortable for kids! Each session is tailored to your child's unique needs, and can be conducted across multiple settings. No, the Publix check out line is not off limits :-)

Ms. Courtney is now going to be in the Brandon/ Riverview/Ruskin area full time starting in June. A bit more about our fabulous Courtney πŸ‘‡πŸ»

Courtney English is a pediatric speech-language pathologist who is licensed in Florida and certified by the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Courtney is a Chicago native and traveled to the Quad Cities where she earned her undergraduate degree from Augustana College. During her Bachelor's, Courtney completed oral-motor research at the University of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia and completed an internship at the Florida School of the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine, Florida.

Courtney earned her Master's degree at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio where she was awarded a research assistantship to work in a genetics lab studying Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). In addition to research, Courtney gained clinical experience working home health in Early Intervention for two Ohio counties, leading parent-toddler early language groups, and accepting a graduate position at the Cleveland Clinic in acute care. After returning to Chicago and working at a pediatric private practice, Courtney relocated to Riverview, Florida.

She comes to Speak Easy Pediatrics with strong experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), CAS, expressive and receptive language delays and disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, fluency disorders, feeding/swallowing disorders, Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC), pragmatic disorders, and developmental delays. Courtney is motivated to make intervention engaging and fun for your child while incorporating evidence-based approaches to ensure progress.

In her free-time, Courtney enjoys reading, playing rec league softball and volleyball, and attending a weekly pottery class. Coming from Chicago, she has been excited to visit the beaches in St. Pete, Clearwater, Sarasota, Siesta Key and more!

We are thrilled to welcome our new OT, Tara Lonzo to the Speak Easy team! She is a rockstar therapist and we can’t wait to see her OT magic unfold with our families who get to work with this sweet and talented soul πŸŽ‰ πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ ……

Tara Lonzo is an Occupational Therapist licensed in Florida and registered by NBCOT. She is an Indiana native, and received her Bachelors degree in Movement and Sport Science at Purdue University and Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at Indiana University.

Tara has a wide range of experience as an Occupational Therapist, working with individuals from infancy through older adulthood, and in settings including outpatient hospital, private schools and daycares, private outpatient clinic and home health. She has experience working with individuals with sensory processing, emotional regulation and executive function difficulties, fine motor concerns, and difficulty with completing daily routines. Tara is skilled in working with individuals with both developmental concerns and complex medical conditions. She is trained in using specific programs such as integrated Listening Systems (iLS), Therapeutic Listening, Handwriting Without Tears and have attended trainings on AAC access, low vision support, handling techniques for tone management and facilitation of developmental skills, ocular motor skills and vestibular processing, non pharmacological pain management, and executive function for support across environments.

She has a passion for working alongside parents, teachers and other professionals to support a child’s ability to function at their highest level across environments.

In her free time, Tara enjoys spending time with her son, Weston, getting together with family and friends, and exploring new places.
