There was a time when getting through the workday felt like enough.

Check the boxes. Get things done. Move on.

But more people are starting to realize that’s not actually what they want.

They want more clarity and more connection.
That’s what we're exploring at The Portal.

We start with a short somatic clarity practice, then the space opens.

Come for a few hours or stay for the full day.

$35 · Half Day (8:30–1)
$55 · Full Day (until 4)

It's time to think about your plans for Mother's Day. If you're just not into the crowds and the long buffet lines this year, consider something quiet, intentional, and meaningful.

Petals & Presence is an afternoon tea and cookie decorating activity in the serene atmosphere of The Portal - Utica. We'll celebrate and reflect on the special women in our lives while working together to decorate and arrange beautiful cookie bouquets. Each guest or pair will leave with a boxed cookie arrangement ready for eating or gifting.

There’s a difference between being busy and being clear.

Most people stay in motion because it feels productive.
But underneath that, there’s usually something unresolved.

A decision. A direction. A next step that hasn’t been claimed.

This day is designed to meet that.

Not by forcing outcomes, but by creating the conditions where clarity naturally happens.

Quiet focus.
Intentional prompts.
Space to actually follow a thought all the way through.

A few spots are still open. I’ll be closing registration shortly.

A lot of men are carrying more than they ever talk about.
Responsibilities. Expectations. Pressure to stay steady, provide, and push through.

And more often than not, they’re less likely to seek support, not because they don’t need it, but because they were never really given a space that feels natural to do that.

So they keep holding it.

If we’re going to shift culture in a meaningful way, it starts by creating spaces where men don’t have to perform strength, but can actually experience support.

Men’s Circle is one of those spaces.

Not therapy.
Not fixing.
Just real conversation, listening, and connection.

Led by Kevin Colacicco, this continues to grow because something real is being met.

✨ Free to attend

This one will feel different.

On 4/26, Haley Rudolph joins Gong & Gather.
She'll be guiding us with live violin.

We begin with sound that softens the edges…
move into the gong where you fully let go…
and return with something more grounded, more clear.

Same experience.
Just deeper in the places that matter.

We don’t talk about this enough.

Remote work changed everything in a lot of good ways.

But it also quietly removed something important.

The in-between moments.
The casual conversations.
The feeling of being around other people who are also building something.

And over time, that absence shows up.

Not always as loneliness in an obvious way, but as lower energy, slower thinking, less momentum.

I see this across business owners, creatives, and professionals in this region.

That’s part of the vision behind The Portal.

To create a space where people can come back into shared energy without going back to outdated ways of working.

Monday Morning is a simple starting point.

A place to begin the week with clarity and not do it alone.

Join for the morning or stay through the afternoon.

Chelan Vanno, founder of Infinite Illumination Yoga, is a certified instructor of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. She received her certification from the Kundalini Research Institute in 2018 and has studied with some of the most renowned instructors in the country. Her lead teacher was Kartar Khalsa, who has received many honors, including being named as the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher Association’s Teacher of the Year in 2014. She received additional instruction in sound and mantra from internationally known recording artist Sat Purkh Kaur Khalsa, and training in posture and alignment from Siri Sat Kaur, founder of Kundalini Yatras Inc.

As a mother and business professional, Chelan was in search of a way to find balance and peace in her life. In an attempt to overcome some personal struggles, she attended a wellness retreat in 2017 that featured Kundalini Yoga. The experience had a profound impact and inspired her to dive deep into its practices and spiritual principles. The transformational shifts this evoked, led to an undeniable need to share the benefits of Kundalini Yoga with others.

She now finds fulfillment and joy in enlightening her own students on these ancient practices, sharing techniques that can be used in everyday life to release stress, find emotional balance and awaken intuition. Her classes, which consist of breathing techniques, physical practices and mantra meditation, are aimed at building physical vitality and expanding consciousness.
