I’m sharing this part of my breast cancer journey after the fact, but these videos were recorded in real time to give you an honest look at the process. Even though my MRI-guided biopsy came back negative on my right breast, I decided to move forward with a bilateral mastectomy due to ongoing concerns like a biopsied mass and bloody discharge. I also met with my plastic surgeon to discuss options for reconstruction.

The goal of sharing this is to encourage, inform, and remind you to stay on top of your breast screenings.

Everyone's journey is so unique, so don't feel pressure to follow exactly in my decision making. If you've been through or are currently going through a similar situation, at what phase in the process are you, and what decisions are you processing through right now?
