In honor of Earth Day, the residents of Mercer Hill enjoyed a delightful visit to the John James Audubon Center. During their trip, they explored the beauty of nature and learned about a variety of birds native to America. The experience offered both education and inspiration, as residents connected with the environment and gained a deeper appreciation for wildlife and conservation.

Mercer Hill's food committee chairman, Ron, along with his assistant, Dick, set out to prepare a special lunch for their fellow members. With the dedicated support of our phenomenal culinary team, who worked tirelessly throughout the day, they created a truly scrumptious meal. The menu featured salmon Wellington with mushroom duxelles, sautéed asparagus, Waldorf salad, and a delightful pineapple rice pudding for dessert. Every dish was thoughtfully, prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. The meal was delicious, and the company was outstanding, making for a warm, memorable dining experience shared among friends.

Each year, we’re honored to join the Alzheimer's Association Rhode Island Chapter Caregiver Conference alongside members of multiple LCB community leadership teams.

This annual event gives us the opportunity to share our Walk in Their Shoes dementia simulation—an immersive, body-based experience that helps caregivers more deeply understand what their loved ones are going through.

Mercer Hill's signature series, cocktails and conversation was a truly fabulous event.Resident's delighted in refreshing, peach fuzz and blueberry lemon, spritzer, cocktails, perfectly paired with delicious appetizers. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, connection, and phenomenal conversation, making it a memorable and enjoyable gathering for all who attended.

In honor of national Parkinson's Awareness Day, the residents of Mercer Hill were privileged to attend an informative presentation by Wade from Fox rehabilitation. The discussion provided valuable insight into Parkinson's disease, including its diagnosis, common symptoms, and available treatment options. Residents gained a deeper understanding of how the condition affects the body and learned therapies and strategies that can help improve quality of life. It was an engaging and educational experience, and we are grateful to wait for sharing his expertise and supporting our communities awareness and understanding.
