Parents of middle school kids….this post is for you!

The beginning of the school year is tough…especially if your student has adhd. The routine of something new is so difficult for their brains to adjust to. It’s equally difficult if you do not have adhd.

As parents, we expect them to do things the way we do….to think the way we do. It works for us and we’ve made it this far. Why doesn’t it work for them?

I’m our home, this has been so real this week.

This is why supporting your child and yourself at the beginning of the year is crucial. And neurofeedback can help.

Calming anxiety….support for the brain in creating neural pathways that help with processing and processes….this is a big help for neurodivergent individuals.

Supporting you and your child’s brains during August and September is so helpful. And we are here to help!

Ever feel like your brain's juggling flaming swords when faced with sensory overload?

Sensory integration difficulties can significantly impact daily life.

Brain maps often reveal how the brain processes sensory information, highlighting areas of overload.

This can explain the intense emotional responses some individuals experience when faced with sensory stimuli.

Understanding these patterns can help tailor interventions for better coping mechanisms and improved well-being.

At Brain Train Woodstock, we offer comprehensive brain mapping to identify and address sensory integration challenges.

Empower yourself with knowledge and take the first step towards a balanced, calmer mind.

What is a QEEG (Brainmap)

A QEEG brainmap helps us to see unique patterns of your brain and understand what areas have too much or too little brainwave activity.

These brain activities are correlated to certain symptoms like:

Loss of Focus
Sleep Issues
Memory Loss
Negative moods
Cognitive decline
and much more

This visual representation of the brain waves allows us to see what areas of the brain are working too hard or not enough.

If you are ready to get a brainmap contact one of our locations for a special offer

Doylestown and Locals, we are running a 50% off special at our Doylestown location

Ever wonder why you should get your brain assessed?

Here are 7 reasons you may want to get a Brain Map at Brain Train Centers

1. ADHD symptoms....it may not be ADHD causing attention and focus issues. We all have trouble focusing but ADHD is NOT always the answer

2. Migraines and Headaches: These may be cause of dehydration, food sensitivities, over aroused brain and many other issues. Doing a brain assessment can help determine which pattern is over aroused and where it may be originating from

3. Insomnia: When you sleep you HEAL! Not sleeping can cause so many other issues like emotional dysregulation, lack of focus, instability and so much more. Teachign yoru brain to switch gears down to sleepy wave patterns is what we can help with .

4. Anxiety and Panic: Ever just feel completely overwhelmed, this is your brain not able to shut down which can cause irritability, stress, fight or flight, panic and anxiety.

5. Negative Moods and Depression can have you feeling disconnected and in a foggy state. slow wave patterns take over the left side of the brain which causes negative moods and lots of emotional ups and downs.

6. Autism and sensory processing issues shows up in the delta and theta patterns of the brain. Very sensitive to light and noises is just one symptom you may find with these types of brains. Neurofeedback can help

7. Concussions and TBIs can happen easier than you think. Most of us in our lifetime at some point have had a mild concussion from a car accident or bad fall. Concussions can effect our focus, memory and mood.

Time to take your brain health seriously and schedule a brain assessment!!

Neurofeedback Therapy for Autism: A Brief Guide

Discover the potential of neurofeedback therapy for individuals with autism. This emerging, non-invasive treatment method uses real-time monitoring of brain activity to improve self-regulation, enhance focus, and reduce anxiety. Here’s what you need to know:

What is Neurofeedback? Neurofeedback trains the brain to improve its function by providing feedback through visual or auditory cues.

Benefits for Autism:
*Improved Focus: Many report better attention and reduced hyperactivity.
*Reduced Anxiety: Helps manage anxiety, leading to a calmer demeanor.
*Better Emotional Regulation: Assists in managing emotional responses, reducing meltdowns and outbursts.

How It Works: Sensors placed on the scalp monitor brainwave activity. Individuals engage in activities that provide feedback, helping them learn to regulate their brain function.

Getting Started:
*Consult with a trained neurofeedback practitioner.
*Regular sessions are essential for the best results.
*Combine with other therapies for a holistic treatment plan.

Neurofeedback therapy is a supportive tool that can enhance the quality of life for those with autism.
