Donor Stories Series: Chris and Mary Jane Beck
Inspired by Impact
Residents of Bucks County for nearly 30 years, Chris and Mary Jane appreciate the quality and close proximity of Doylestown Health’s network of care. The Becks’ most recent gift is directed to the support of the rehabilitation program. “We can always count on Doylestown Health to deliver excellent care,” said Chris.
The Becks are confident that investing in the future of Doylestown Health is sure to yield a high-impact return. “We trust Doylestown Health,” said Mary Jane. “We also believe that if you’ve been given good things in life as we have, that it’s essential to give back,” Chris added. “Strengthening healthcare for our community, and our future is worth it.”

Donor Stories Series: Scott and Joy Levy
Inspired by Innovation
For thirty years—twenty as Chief Medical Officer— Scott Levy, MD, led bold growth and innovation at Doylestown Health. To mark his retirement, he and his wife, Joy, made a seed gift to launch the Cancer Innovation Fund, which will be earmarked to advance the development of innovative programs and approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer.
Joy and Scott have been steadfast donors to Doylestown Health for three decades. “When you see what philanthropy can do—for patients, for the hospital, and for innovation—it has a lasting impact,” said Joy.

Gary Porter is a multifaceted octogenarian—family man, entrepreneur, retired CEO, speaker, golf enthusiast, and philanthropist. Above all, Gary is a survivor. He earned that distinction through sheer will, outstanding medical care, and the loving support of his family.
Gary Porter values how Doylestown Health’s high-quality network of care supports the health of the community and the workforce in Central Bucks County. As a grateful patient, Gary, along with his wife, Cynthia, continues to give back to Doylestown Hospital with appreciation for the lifesaving care he received.

Donor Stories Series: Mike and Beckie Techtmann
Inspired by Family
During the holiday season, Mike and Beckie Techtmann host a party with a purpose: raising funds to provide enhancements to patient care at Doylestown Hospital. Since 2018, the Techtmanns, along with family and friends, have raised more than $34,000 to support the VIA Maternity Center and Della Penna Pediatrics. This year, 100% of funds from the Techtmann’s party will be designated to purchase a new behavioral health patient bed for one of the new crisis isolation rooms in Doylestown Health’s Emergency Department.
“It’s not about how much you can give,” said Mike. “The important thing is that when we come together, we can make an even bigger difference for families in our community.”
