🌍 Today is World Mental Health Day and what a powerful day it’s been! 💚

Lenape Valley Foundation was proud to host our Annual Suicide Prevention Conference, bringing together over 300 attendees for a sold-out event focused on hope, healing, and connection.

Our keynote speaker, Kevin Hines Story, shared his inspiring story and message of resilience that captivated everyone in the room. The day also featured important conversations on suicide prevention best practices for seniors, children, LGBTQ+ community and more.

We’re deeply grateful to our partners and supporters who made this day possible, especially our presenting sponsors the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force, The Vesta Fund, and Bucks County Community College for hosting.

A special thank you to our many speakers and the 15+ community organizations that shared valuable resources with attendees.

Together, we’ve built a community that believes every life has value, and every voice matters. 💙 We look forward to continuing this longstanding event next year!

👏 Thank You to Nicole Wolf & Lenape Valley Foundation!

UMBA extends our sincere thanks to Nicole Wolf, Co-Chair of Bucks CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) and Director of Training and Education for Lenape Valley Foundation, for giving an excellent presentation to our members on the Crisis Intervention Team program — an innovative, first-responder model of police-based crisis intervention that brings together law enforcement, behavioral healthcare, and community advocacy partners.

We’re proud that 75% of the Upper Makefield Township Police Department has received CIT training — a true testament to their commitment to community care and crisis response.

Special thanks to Chief Schmidt and Sergeant Huff for your ongoing leadership and dedication to this important initiative.

UMBA was also honored to present a $500 donation to the Lenape Valley Foundation, presented by Scott Miller, UMBA - Upper Makefield Business Association Secretary.

💙 Together, we’re building a stronger, safer, and more compassionate community.
