The world will tell you that healthcare is expensive.
And it is.

But healing, at its core, has always been human.

At the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic, we see it every single day.

Care is not just prescriptions and procedures.
It is presence. It is dignity. It is connection.

For our patients, many of whom come to us without insurance, without access, and often without options, healing begins with what cannot be billed.

A warm welcome at the front desk. $0.
A nurse who listens without rushing. $0.
A volunteer who shows up week after week. $0.
A provider who sees the person, not just the diagnosis. $0.
A community that says, you matter here. Priceless.

Yes, we provide medical care, dental care, behavioral health, vision, and medications under one roof.
But what truly transforms lives is something deeper.

It is trust.
It is consistency.
It is compassion.

In a system that often feels transactional, Ann Silverman remains relational.

Because health is not just about what you can afford.
It is about what you are given through humanity, generosity, and shared responsibility.

And here, every day, we are reminded that some of the most powerful forms of care still cost nothing at all

The Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic had the honor of saying goodbye to Jim Brexler, who stopped by during lunch to personally greet our staff and volunteers.

His leadership and presence have meant so much to our clinic and our community. Moments like these remind us that impact is not only measured in outcomes, but in the relationships built along the way.

We wish Jim a joyful retirement, and a life ahead filled with health, peace, and continued purpose.

Thank you, Mr Brexler, for supporting our mission. You will always be part of our story. We hope to count on you remaining a friend of the clinic.

Honoring a Legacy of Service: Robert Silberg

There are individuals who give their time, and then there are those who quietly give a part of their life. Robert Silberg is one of those rare individuals.

For fifteen years, Robert served on the board of the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic with unwavering commitment, thoughtful leadership, and a deep sense of responsibility to our mission. His presence was steady, his counsel wise, and his heart firmly rooted in service to others.

Robert is, at his core, a kind and community-centered man. He understood that healthcare is not just about treatment, but about dignity, access, and compassion. His contributions helped shape the strength and integrity of our clinic, and the impact of his service will continue to be felt in the lives of the thousands of patients we serve.

While we will deeply miss his presence at the board table, we celebrate this next chapter of his life with gratitude and admiration.

Robert, thank you for your years of faithful service. Thank you for the wisdom, the care, and the quiet leadership you brought to this community.

We wish you a joyful, healthy, and richly deserved time with your family.

We did it together. Cloudy skies didn’t stop us. You brought the sunshine.☀️

What a beautiful day of connection, community, and purpose. We gathered, caught up with friends and neighbors, and shared in something that truly matters. Every conversation, every donation, every moment reflected the strength of a community that shows up for one another.

All donations collected support Good Stuff Thrift, whose mission is simple and powerful: Helping Kids. Through their ongoing partnership, Good Stuff Thrift helps fund essential services at the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic—ensuring children have access to medical care, vision services, and behavioral health support.

At the heart of it all is the mission of the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic:
To provide free medical and dental care, behavioral health, and social services to low-income, uninsured residents of Bucks County.

Because of partnerships like this, that mission extends even further, reaching children and families who need it most.

To everyone who made time to stop by, thank you. Your presence, your generosity, and your willingness to engage are what make this work possible. You didn’t just donate items; you helped turn them into care, dignity, and opportunity.

And this impact doesn’t stop here. You can continue to donate to Good Stuff Thrift throughout the year, and those contributions will keep supporting the clinic and the children we serve.

Together, we can do more.
Together, we are making a difference.

Turn your donations into purpose.

The room was full, and not just in numbers, but in purpose.

Yesterday at the BCHIP annual event at Bucks County Community College, I had the honor of representing the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic among more than 160 leaders and partners across public health, hospitals, government, education, and human services, all united by one shared commitment to strengthen the health of Bucks County.

What stayed with me most was the sense of connection. Old friends, new relationships, and a shared understanding that none of us does this work alone. It was especially meaningful to reconnect with colleagues from Christ’s Home, Penn Medicine, NAC, NOVA, A Woman’s Place, Doylestown Health, Lower Bucks Hospital, St. Mary Medical Center, the Bucks County Department of Health, Family Service Association, and so many others who show up every day to care for this community in ways both seen and unseen.

At Ann Silverman, we stand at the intersection of need and compassion, serving those who often have nowhere else to turn. Evenings like this are a reminder that we are part of something much larger, a network of people and organizations committed to making sure no one falls through the cracks.

This was more than a gathering. It was a reflection of what happens when a community aligns around care, dignity, and access.

Bucks County continues to lead, not by intention alone, but through action. And I am proud to stand alongside so many who are building that future together.

We are honored to recognize Dr. Steven M. Rosenberg, DO, as our Volunteer of the Month. A physician formed in the osteopathic tradition, where care of the whole person is the standard, Dr. Rosenberg brings more than four decades of clinical wisdom into every encounter at the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic. After a distinguished career with Jefferson Health, he chose not to set his knowledge aside, but to place it where it is needed most, serving patients without insurance who are seeking not only care, but dignity, clarity, and hope. He arrives with a warm smile, a steady presence, and a generosity of spirit that reflects a lifetime of healing. At Ann Silverman, we believe that retirement is not an ending, but a redirection, and we invite physicians stepping out of full-time practice to consider what Dr. Rosenberg models so beautifully: that experience, when shared, becomes legacy.
Thank you Dr Gever for recruiting Dr Rosenberg.

Have you started your spring cleaning yet?

This Saturday is the perfect moment to turn what you no longer need into something deeply meaningful for someone else.

Join us at the Bucks County Herald parking lot and spend a few moments with the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic team. Bring your gently used items, say hello, and be part of something bigger than a donation.

Because here is the truth. Every bag you bring, every item you give, becomes care. Through our partnership with Good Stuff Thrift, your donations help provide medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health services for children and families who need it most.

What may feel like a simple act of cleaning out a closet becomes access to care, dignity, and hope for someone in our community.

We will be there rain or shine, ready to greet you with gratitude.

Come by. Say hello. And help us turn generosity into healing.

Earth Day reminds us of something simple, yet profound.

Health does not begin in a hospital.
It begins in the environments we live in, the air we breathe, the food we have access to, and the communities that surround us.

At Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic, we see this every day.

We see how housing instability affects health.
How food insecurity shapes outcomes.
How access—to care, to resources, to support—can change the trajectory of a life.

Caring for people and caring for the Earth are not separate missions.
They are deeply connected.

When we protect our environment, we protect the most vulnerable among us.
When we build healthier communities, we create a stronger future for everyone.

This Earth Day, we are reminded that healing is not just clinical.
It is environmental.
It is communal.
It is human.

Because a healthier world begins with caring—for the Earth, and for each other.
