We had a truly wonderful Easter weekend at the Arbors! 🐣🌷

A heartfelt thank you to our outstanding Executive Director, Jonathan, for preparing a delicious traditional Easter dinner for both our residents and associates. His thoughtfulness and culinary talents made the holiday extra special, filling the day with comfort, joy, and full hearts (and plates!).

It was a beautiful time spent together, celebrating community, gratitude, and the spirit of the season.

It’s time for baseball season to start.
The winter that wasn’t has drifted away,

In honor of Peanut Butter & Jelly Day, we spread a little joy (and a lot of peanut butter!) throughout our community! Did you know this classic combo may have gotten its start during World War II, when soldiers mixed peanut butter with jelly to create a tastier, protein-packed sandwich? Talk about a delicious piece of history!

But the real question is… how do you build the perfect PB&J?

✨ Chunky or smooth peanut butter?
✨ Grape jelly or strawberry jam?
✨ White bread or whole wheat?
✨ Crust or no crust?

March may be waving goodbye, but it made sure to leave a little sweetness behind 🍫✨

In celebration of Women’s History Month, our residents were treated to a deliciously fascinating visit from Cocoa Beantown Boston. Their “Women in Chocolate” presentation was equal parts history, culture, and indulgence—like a passport stamped in cocoa.

Residents explored the surprising health benefits of chocolate, traveled (in spirit!) to the countries where the finest cacao plants grow, and discovered what makes certain chocolates truly exceptional. The grand finale? Sampling some of the very best chocolate New England has to offer… and yes, there were plenty of smiles to go around 😄

A heartfelt thank you to Cocoa Beantown Boston for bringing such a rich and flavorful experience to our community!

Residents enjoyed a delicious food demo with our fabulous chefs, Anthony & Bob, who brought flavor, fun, and a little culinary magic to the day. From sizzling pans to mouthwatering bites, it was a treat from start to finish.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful monthly guest speaker, Robin Shelgren, for bringing the sights, sounds, and stories of Ireland to life. With her engaging style and rich storytelling, Robin guided us through a tapestry of history, travel, music, and film that sparked both memories and curiosity.

With nearly a decade of experience, Robin specializes in creating interactive, nostalgic programs designed to stimulate and connect with older adults. Her passion for storytelling and personal touch made this visit especially meaningful for our residents.

On March 20, 2026, Earth welcomed the Spring Equinox — that perfect moment when the Sun rests almost directly above the equator, giving us nearly equal day and night across the globe. A true sign that brighter days are blooming ahead!

At the Arbors, we celebrated in full springtime style. Residents enjoyed delightful alpaca visits, got creative with beautiful spring crafts, and wrapped up the day with a lively Spring Fling. Ragtime pianist Jim Otis filled the room with toe-tapping tunes while everyone indulged in delicious dirt cake cups.
