Losing the weight is only the start of the journey, not the destination.

It’s always bittersweet when a client is ready to break free and go on their own. That was today for my client Jessica.

Jessica did it right.
She lost 30 lbs in 5 months!!

BUT…thats not where she ended.

Once you lose the weight….how do you stay there??

Jessica stayed with me for another 7 months to do just that…to learn how to maintain.

We reversed her calories and allowed her time to really learn how to maintain her new healthy weight….without tracking or weighing her foods.

If you have a weight loss goal—I encourage you to think PAST the weight goal and dig into HOW you will keep it off. What needs to change for good?

A simple, and often denied, blood test helped uncover why my client ‘K’ felt like sh*t. This information gave her a whole new outlook on her weight & health.

Her Dr. flat out told her NO on a blood test that held the clues we were looking for.

Her Dr. more than once said the test wasn’t necessary, that she was ‘fine’.

😒Even after clean eating, she still was gaining weight
😒Even while focusing on sleep, she was still was exhausted
😒Even with exercise, she wasn’t changing her body composition & felt weak

Even with sharing her symptoms with her Dr. she still got push back. Unfortunately, this happens too often. (And luckily I can request this bloodwork anytime, but ‘K’ wanted to use insurance so she went through her Dr.)

Well, we kept pushing and finally got what we needed, and sure enough it helped us understand truly what was going on, and a more precise way to address it.

Now my client is starting to feel better and better everyday.

😀More energy
😀More strength
😀Less brain fog
😀Less fatigue
😀Less exhaustion
😀Better sleep
😀Better mood

* in ‘K’s’ case it was getting a deeper look at her Thyroid. Her TSH, (which is what most Dr will pull) was in ‘normal range’ but not optimal so I was curious something was going on and wanted a full look at the Thyriod. The additional testing gave us the clues we needed and we were able to implement some lifestyle changes.

Your kids are grown

The house is quieter

More time for you

When I get a new client who is already at 25% body fat as a female I get a little anxious. 😬

I wonder if I’m going to be able to give them enough value, enough results, maybe even question ‘why you here?’ 🫣

Let’s be honest, 25% is pretty lean, good healthy % for a female, especially as we enter our 40’s! 💪🏼

Well, check this out!

In the first 2 months, she dropped to 20%!

And….

Dont let weight fool you! 🧐

She is only 1.5 lbs lower from when she started….but 6% drop in bodfyfat%.

Added 6 lbs of muscle!

So ladies!!! You can do this!

I’m not saying get to 20% bodyfat..thats not for everyone but you CAN get healthier. You CAN lose weight and get stronger in your 40’s and beyond! 💪🏼👌🏼

And - stick to it. Even when things don’t seem to be moving…it will eventually.
