Being the lone owner of my two dental offices, I assume the responsibility of maintaining a service oriented practice. The staff needs to be well versed in the tasks they perform each and every day, but it all starts with me . I must stay current, insist on delivering quality care, and not only demand the offices are clean and orderly looking but sterility of operatories in particular is paramount. Following OSHA guidelines addresses compliance, but we must want to live it from the moment we enter the office to how we leave it at the end of the day.
We have stayed current with the dental care we deliver to every patient. Digital Radiography has been most beneficial. It delivers low dose radiation and produces high resolution films instantly on the computer. Whether in the evening on a Tuesday or Wednesday or possibly on the weekend.
