Hello all my friends and neighbors,
After 38 years of serving Burke County, I have decided to retire from the home care/Medical Transportation services. It has been a wonderful, rewarding, pleasure and blessed adventure. Moving forward from now if any home care or transportation is needed please call Catawba Valley Medical Services 437-8808. It has been a pleasure serving the Burke County residents for 38 years. Is R.O. Huffman Center a drop off site for things to go up the mountain? We have quite a few walkers that we can send and I can not find the post that was asking for these.

First let me say during this trying time we will get through this as a COMMUNITY!
Most power has been restored to the Drexel community, our office has power and phone service and internet so we will open tomorrow Tuesday, October 1. However, there will not be any medical transportation tomorrow. I hope everyone is doing ok during this tragic event and please keep our mountain friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Hello everyone, our offices will be closed until phone lines and internet are restored, there will be no medical transportation Monday 9/30, Tuesday 10/1, we will update as soon as we know and are able to, stay safe and prayers to ALL!!!

We are looking for several individuals to cover our growing needs:
1. CNA full time Mon - Fri, this will be working with 3 client totally 37 hrs week, must be CNA Certified, pass drug screen and background check, also needed is a Part Time CNA
2. We are searching for a driver to transport our growing needs for medical transportation for Burke County residents, this position is Part Time with 25 -30 hrs weekly (will vary), pass DOT drug screen, pass background check, please apply in person
