Sometimes the bravest move in love isnât about staying or leaving, itâs about getting honest with yourself about why. Are you running away⌠or running toward? In therapy here in Wimberley, I help couples find the clarity and courage to create relationships rooted in truth, not fear. đ

âď¸ Monday Reset: The Sacred Art of Creative Healing with Scott Jamesâď¸
What if creativity could be more than an outletâwhat if it could be a lifeline?
This week on Couch Time with Cat, I sit down with Scott James, acclaimed typewriter poet and bestselling author, who has written over 10,000 poems on demand. I also have the distinct pleasure of calling Scott and friend and creative partner.
Scott has been featured by tastemakers such as Joanna Gaines in Magnolia and Tim Ferriss!
In this episode, youâll discover how Scott turned poetry into a daily healing practice, how âenergetic hygieneâ can protect your peace, and why flow often arrives when we stop creating alone.
As you step into this new week, let this conversation remind you that healing doesnât have to be complicatedâit can be as simple as showing up, pen (or typewriter) in hand, and letting the words move through you.
đ If the episode resonates, would you support the show by:
Leaving a 5-star rating
Writing a quick review (just a few kind words truly help!)
Sharing with a friend who might need this gentle reminder today
đż And donât forgetâRise Above is my live 1-hour virtual class with weekly teaching + hot seat Q&A. Itâs the most accessible way to work with me outside of therapy.
Wherever you are today, take a breath. Youâre not aloneâand your story matters.
Thanks for listening!

Itâs never too late to rewrite the story of how we love ourselves, our partners, and our people. When we get stuck in the same patterns, sometimes all it takes is one shift, one new choice, to draw a different path forward. đ

Today I feel helpless. Thereâs SO much chaos. It seems to keep compounding. As a mother of 2, itâs almost like I have to tune it all out to be present with my kids - but thatâs not good either. It feels like we live in a land mine.
âŚ
Tragedy seems to echo from every cornerâmurder, wars, disasters, loss, injusticeâand for so many of us, the emotional weight is real.
âŚ
Maybe youâve felt it in your chest, in the pit of your stomach, or in that sense of helplessness that creeps in during quiet moments.
âŚ
I want you to know: youâre not alone. I feel it too. đđđWe all feel it.
In times like these, we may not have all the answers. We may not know how to fix what feels so broken. And that uncertainty can feel like quicksand. But one thing we do knowâone thing I come back to again and againâis that healing happens in connection.
Weâre not meant to carry this pain on our own.
âŚ
Sometimes thereâs no clear way out of the pain, but there is a way through. And we can walk that path side by side.
If youâre craving that kind of connection, or simply want to be held in a space where you donât have to have it all figured outâIâm here. And Iâm building spaces for people like you who feel deeply, love fiercely, and want to stay tender in a world that keeps breaking our hearts.đ
âŚ
Everyday I lean on my faith more and more. I realize the mystery of it all is bigger and bigger. I have no answers - just here to say that youâre not alone. đЎ
