Thank You to Rachel Baldwin for the mural on Corner Drug in Driggs. The mural celebrates Jack Harper, Pharmacist who owned and ran the pharmacy in Teton Valley for many years. The young boy in the mural is Jim Hunter who grew up in Driggs helping his grandfather in the pharmacy and who also became a pharmacist and ran the store for many years. (Jack sold the building to Don Coburn and about 20 years later Jim bought it when it became Corner Drug) Current owner is Sally Myler, Pharmacist and great grand-daughter of Jack Harper and daughter of Jim Hunter. Rachel Baldwin Artist is also a great grand-daughter of Jack Harper and cousin to Sally. The building plaque high up on the corner of the building says "Harper Building".

Good News! Governor Little signed H596 4/1/24.

Small town Idaho Pharmacys need your help to get House Bill 596a across the finish line.

This Bill is about transparency with the middle man in the insurance world that is running roughshod over independent pharmacies. Many of the "take it or leave it" insurance contracts we are dealing with leave us filling prescriptions at a loss (yes, they are paying me below my acquisition cost). The insurance plans own their own mail order pharmacys and they would love to switch everyone over to mail order. Ask anyone who has dealt with mail order pharmacy how well that works.

Many of the local seniors had to change insurance plans this year so they could stay with a pharmacy they have dealt with for years.

This Bill596a passed both chambers of the Idaho Legislature with large bipartisan support. But now that it is on the Governors desk, the Insurance tough guys have flown into Boise and are pressuring the Governor to veto it. Please contact Governor Brad Little and tell him to sign this bill to save small town pharmacy.
