I perform several styles of brow lifts. What I don’t do is over lift brows. Nobody wants to look surprised all the time! For this patient I did an upper blepharoplasty and a pretrichial brow lift. For the pretrichial brow lift I make the incision right at the front of the hairline. There is a small risk of a visible scar, but it blends nicely for most people. The benefit is lifting the brows while removing excess forehead skin and wrinkles without making the forehead taller.

Unilateral ptosis repairs in young adults is one of my favorite things to fix. In this group I usually perform an internal surgery meaning the surgery is done on the inside of the eyelid. This hides the scars and can give a beautiful lift with natural eyelid contours.

Scar revisions can be hard for patients. In essence it is starting over. While some scars can be improved with time and laser, some scars are best addressed surgically. The scar is removed and meticulous reconstruction is performed. Basically you are trading a bad scar for a good scar. It takes time, but is often worth it. Note: The lighting is different in the second photo since I saw her at a satellite office without a photo room for her final post-op visit.

Nobody wants to look “done” after getting plastic surgery. This is especially true with my male patients. For this patient I did an upper and lower blepharoplasty. He looks great and even better is that no one looking at him can tell he’s had surgery. I included a few photos with different lighting for comparison.

Bruised, swollen and… beautiful. Everyone responds to surgery differently. This patient is one week out from an upper and lower eyelid surgery. It is normal to have bruising and swelling that is noticeable for 1-3 weeks. After that most people look and feel great, but it can take 3-6 months to get full results. Scars can improve up to 1-2 years. Scar cream, sun protection, and lasers can help improve more visible scars.

One of my favorite surgeries to perform is a combination upper and lower eyelid procedure. This patient had an upper blepharoplasty covered by insurance due to her medical need, and she chose to enhance her lower eyelids at the same time.
