Heavy metal detox with PEMF. Detoxification is the most important and influential process an individual can do to improve their health and subsequently their life.

In the world of technology, there are countless blog posts, articles, websites, as well as books written on ‘detox’ and cleansing. However, very few of them actually have a comprehensive understanding of detoxifying. Additionally, many of them are not in-depth but instead are pure hype, marketing and sales driven. Detoxification is not something you can truly achieve through a fast, 14-day cleanse, green juices, or with some supplements. Instead detoxifying is more intricate, and long-term.

Most people living in the modern world, are inescapably toxic and can truly benefit from a detox. Unless of course, you’ve been living on a different planet entirely, you will have been exposed to heavy metals; in small, large or extremely high quantities. Human’s have been exposed to the highest levels of heavy metal toxins in recorded history! This is due to the industrial revolution, burning of fossil fuels, improper incineration of waste materials and so on. Toxic metals are everywhere and affect everyone on mother earth.

Heavy metals are metallic elements that are toxic or poisonous even in very low concentrations. Tumours are known to contain concentrated amounts of heavy metals. Dr Rau from Paracelsus clinic in Lustmuehle found up to 40000 higher concentration of heavy metals in tumours compared to healthy tissue. This show’s that heavy metals are certainly a factor in the development of disease and unquestionably something which should be detoxified.

Some of the common heavy metal pollutants among others are arsenic, cadmium, mercury, aluminium, nickel, and lead. In the table below are listed ‘some’ of the common toxic effects and sources.

PEMF SUPPORT

A deflated cell with a low cellular membrane potential can not detoxify. This is why sport and exercise are so important. They increase your cells energy and shake loose some of these toxins.

PEMF however, increases the membrane potential dramatically in a matter of minutes and in turn increases 3 facts at the same time:
1 Detoxification (all toxins are shaken loose from the cell membrane receptors)
2 Oxygen uptake is drastically improved by the increased cell membrane potential
3 Nutrient uptake is dramatically increased due to cleared cell membrane channels.

These 3 factors alone make it necessary for a good detox to incorporate PEMF as an adjunct treatment. PEMF treatment can increase the detox by 40% due to shaking loose the toxins at a cellular level.

Additionally before using the PEMF machine taking a ‘primer’ to bind the toxins released into the body like chlorella, modifilan, modified citrus pectin and activated charcoal. This will help maximise the treatment.

For those of who you do not know what a PEMF is, it’s a Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy device. The therapy utilises small magnetic currents which are intermittently applied to the body.

Inside each cell within your body, there is an energy factory, the mitochondria. Surrounding this energy factory is a membrane of energy pathways through which nutrients go in and waste is expelled. Unfortunately over time, these pathways are blocked by toxins so the cell can’t take in the nutrients it needs. This causes the cell to “deflate” and, therefore, it doesn’t function as it should. The magnetic current from the PEMF “hits” the cell and knocks the toxins free. The cell’s nutrient pathways are now clear and the cell can begin to take on nutrients again.

The PEMF increases blood flow and oxygen to all areas within the body. This is then producing higher levels of anti-inflammatory white blood cells and more densely oxygen saturated red blood cells to the damaged areas. At the same time removing toxins. Water in the human body is mostly a “soup” of electrolytes, proteins, fats, and starches. Not only do magnetic fields affect the body’s own water, but they also can have an effect on any drinking water. There is evidence that electromagnetic fields change the properties of solutions.

It has been proven that water retains (for some time) changes induced in it by exposure to an electromagnetic field. Therefore, long term memory of water is a well-established fact. Some researchers have identified macroscopic millimeter-size clusters in water. How EMFs affect clustering is yet unknown, but it has been shown that PEMFs do affect clustering.

The EMF effects on water are most likely due to structural defects in the water and the water memory may be ascribed to stable aspects of such defects. Magnetic exposure of water is widely used to inhibit scale buildup in heat exchangers, water storage systems and water pipes. Electric and magnetic fields affect the precipitation of barium oxalate, calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate, crystal growth rates of inorganic salts and stability of fluid suspensions. Electromagnetic field effects persist in fluids (in these situations, treated with PEMFs) up to several days after the EMFs are removed. EMFs affect diffusion of colloids (almost any substance microscopically dispersed evenly throughout a solution), surface free energy of calcium salts and change UV and Infra Red spectra of water.

Magnetic pretreatment of water has been thought to enhance the yields of plants and livestock and affect paramecia, alter cell density and size of the nucleus diameter in catfish liver cells and affect the hormone cycles of mice. A patent has also been issued on a method of magnetically treating fuel (while not water, it is a fluid) used in motors, to enhance fuel consumption.

It has been shown that magnetically-treated water used in dental irrigators reduces dental plaque build-up better than untreated water. Treated water was also found to cause round worms to evacuate infested children better than controls in a Chinese study. Water coming out of certain lava flows from Japan that was naturally “magnetized” improved memory loss in Alzheimer’s patients. Other researchers found that treated water reduced kidney stones.

Therefore, EMFs are expected to not only affect the water content of the body but may also be of some use in structuring the water we drink. How these observations can be used to positively impact health is only just beginning to be discovered.

It is estimated that 10-20% of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) have a chronic progressive (CP) course characterized by an insidious of neurological deficits followed by steady progression of disability in the absence of symptomatic remission. No therapeutic modality has shown specific efficacy in the treatment of patients with CP MS and there are no data to show that any pharmacologic or other modality alters the clinical course of CP MS. Treatment with picotesla EMFs is a highly effective modality for the symptomatic management of MS including the chronic progressive form. Also, this treatment also seems to alter the natural course of the disease in CP patients. A 36 yr-old man experienced, at the age of 31, insidious weakness in the legs and several months later developed difficulties with balance with ataxia of gait. His gait abnormality progressed slowly over the following years and at the age of 35 he was severely disabled with spastic paraparesis and ataxia using a rolling walker for ambulation and a scooter for longer distances. In particular, his disability had progressed rapidly over the 6 mo preceding the initiation of treatment with EMFs. He as classified have CP MS and his prognosis was considered extremely unfavorable due to the degree of cerebellar and pyramidal tract involvement and the rapid course of deterioration. In July 1995 the patient began experimental treatment with EMFs. While receiving 3 treatment sessions/wk for 12 mo he experienced improvement in cerebellar functions such as gait, balance and tremor as well as bowel and bladder functions, mood, sleep and cognitive function and resolution of diplopia, blurring of vision, dysarthria, paresthesias in the hands, and fatigue. Most remarkably, there was no further progression of the disease during the course of magnetic therapy. This case showed that EMF-treatment reversed the clinical course of CP MS in addition to producing symptomatic improvement. PMID: 9003966, UI: 97157687

10 things veterinarians want horse owners to know about Banamine.
1)Banamine is a brand name. Flunixin meglumine is the drug name but many people refer to it by the popular brand name “Banamine” made by Merck. This medication is available in injectable liquid and oral paste formulations.
2)Flunixin is classified as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which can be shortened to “NSAID.” NSAIDs reduce inflammation, pain, and fever by decreasing certain biochemical reactions in the body. Other drugs that are also classified as NSAIDs include phenylbutazone (Bute), firocoxib (Equioxx®, Previcoxx®).
3)Flunixin treats pain. By far the most common implication for the use of flunixin in horses is analgesia, or pain control. Flunixin provides good pain control for visceral (in the belly) and ocular (eye) pain. It is often used in cases of colic (abdominal pain) to make the horse more comfortable which reduces the risk of harm to the horse and handlers. It is important to note that flunixin does not cure the cause of colic; it temporarily relieves signs by providing pain relief.
4)Flunixin can reduce fever. A normal horse’s temperature is between 98.5 and 100.9°F. Like humans, horses can develop a fever secondary to an infection or illness. Many febrile horses will not eat or drink well when they have a fever but their appetite improves once the fever decreases. Flunixin can be used to reduce the horse's temperature often making them feel better. On a cautionary note, we often recommend owners take a temperature BEFORE giving flunixin as this can also a mask a fever.
5)Flunixin lasts 12 hours in the horse’s body. Some owners with a sick horse give a full dose of flunixin and then redose the horse a few hours later when he/she became uncomfortable again. This practice is not recommended for two reasons. First, overdosing can increase the risk of adverse effects including kidney damage and gastric ulcers. Second, if a horse's clinical signs do not resolve with a full dose, an examination by your veterinarian is likely warranted sooner rather than later and administering a second dose may delay treatment.
6)Flunixin can cause gastrointestinal and kidney damage. The same pathways that are down-regulated by flunixin to reduce pain and inflammation also partially protect the kidneys and stomach. At a normal dose the risk of these side effects is reduced. However, patients treated with an overdose or long term dosing are at an increased risk for renal (kidney) damage, gastric ulcers, and hind gut (colon) ulcers .
7)“Stacking” NSAIDs is not recommended. As previously stated, other drugs commonly used in horses that are also classified as NSAIDs include bute, Equioxx and Previcoxx). It is important to note that giving either of these medications together or in combination with flunixin can cause the same adverse effects as overdosing. For this reason,we do not recommend “stacking” NSAIDs or administering two of these drugs together. Many geriatric patients receive Equioxx or Previcoxx daily for pain and inflammation associated with arthritis. If this is the case, we recommend discontinuing that medication before starting another NSAID an allowing enough time for the body to clear the first drug completely.
8)Flunixin does not cause sedation or cure colic. Although we often use flunixin in colic cases, it is for the purpose of pain control. Alleviating the signs of colic by controlling pain is safer for the horse and handler when a horse is being treated and gives the horse’s body time to respond to treatment (ie oral fluids, IV fluids, motility agents). We often recommend removing hay/grain from a horse that has been administered flunixin for signs of colic until he/she can be examined by a veterinarian. In some cases, once the horse FEELS better he/she will try to continue eating and make the colic worse. If you think your horse may be colicking, we recommend calling your regular veterinarian and following her/his recommendations on medications and feeding.
9)Flunixin should NOT be given in the muscle (IM). Oddly enough, Banamine is still labeled for IM use in horses on the bottle but I strongly recommend against this practice. In rare cases, IM administration of flunixin (or phenylbutazone) has been known to cause a secondary condition called “Clostridial myositis” which can be fatal. The medication irritates the surrounding muscle tissue and bacterial spores can take advantage of the inflamed environment and cause a massive release of toxins. This disease is extremely painful and the treatment can be quite gruesome but horses that are not diagnosed and treated promptly may die from toxic overload. For this reason, we recommend only injecting flunixin in the vein (IV) or squirting the injectable fluid or paste in the mouth.
10)Flunixin injectable solution can be administered by mouth. The injectable formulation of flunixin can be administered by mouth at the same dose as IV use. Oral administration (either injectable solution or paste) takes about 20-30 min to reach full effect compared to 5-10 min with an IV injection. Oral administration does not take significantly longer than IM injection to reach peak absorption and is much safer for the horse.
Lastly always call your veterinarian if you suspect your horse appears off in any way before administering any medication.
