I can NOT find Lung Center on this app Penn Highlands MyHealthNow. I got a call Friday stating that my appointment for today was going to take place here. My appointment is at 9 AM
While we are all extremely grateful, to the doctors and nurses, at Penn Highlands Huntingdon and all hospitals, who put their health on the line every day, let's not forget about the hardworking people who are working long hard hours, during this very difficult time, to set up equipment, clean and sanitize and acquire the necessary supplies, the people keeping the HOSPITALS themselves safe and functioning, while dealing with their own concerns for their health and the health of their families. Thank you to the Maintenance staff, the Cleaning crews and the Office personnel, the true unsung hero's of the hospitals! Without all of them, the Hospitals would not even be able to function.
Thank you all for a successful blood drive yesterday. We saw 24 life-saving donors. Your generosity will save numerous lives. Kathy Community Blood Bank
I just watched a live presentation by UPMC on how they are planning for CoVid 19. It would be nice if Penn Highlands would put out information about how they are preparing as well ? Do we have available beds? Do we have enough ventilators for the expected number of cases? Do we have test kits? Please make information public as we are anticipating the virus to reach our area.
I just came from the Penn Highlands Brookville ER. I’ve never had a more unprofessional experience anywhere in my life. The reason I was there seeking medical treatment was I did something to my lower back, I think it may be a disc slipped out of place, I don’t know because I did not receive any treatment and am still in a great deal of pain. When I arrived, I explained to the girl at the desk my situation and I also asked her if there was much of a wait because I couldn’t sit due to the amount of pain I am in. She told me that she couldn’t tell me if there was a wait, I’m not sure why. I wasn’t asking for any confidential information I just wanted to know if it would be 5 minutes or 6 hours, not specific’s, just a very rough idea due to the fact I was unable to sit due to the pain I was in. Actually, I would think if I was unable to sit due to pain they should have to find a way to accommodate my condition. Anyhow my conversation with the girl at the desk went back and forth for maybe 3-4 minutes, no voices were raised, no one on either side was being rude. I was just trying to get an idea whether I would be able to tolerate waiting due to the pain I am in or whether I should consider the drive to Dubois, which I wasn’t sure I could tolerate. At this point the physician on duty, Michael I believe, stuck his head out and very rudely told me to quit wasting his staffs time and either have a seat or leave. I was in such shock the way this physician would treat someone clearly in pain and in need of treatment, I said we were leaving, I also told him F.U. (very inappropriate on my part and I apologize for that), then as I was walking through the door to leave he hollers that if I didn’t leave he would call security. I was halfway out the door and had to stop and tell him obviously I was leaving, and ask what his name was, which he refused to give me. I just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the treatment I received at Penn Highlands Brookville, and by this physician in particular. I don’t know anything about patients’ rights, but I sure feel like mine have been violated.
CHARITY BALL 2020 -- LAKE VIEW LODGE? I will be happy when the ball is once again held at the LAKE VIEW LODGE IN TREASURE LAKE. it seems to me to be only fair that we the residents of Treasure Lake support the Penn Highlands Hospital and should have the same respect shown to us. It has been a LONG STANDING TRADITION to take turns having it in town one year and at the lake the next year. I not only speak for myself when I say it's very disappointing that this tradition is not being kept. I sincerely hope that Treasure Lake will no longer be overlooked for the venue of this worthy event. Treasure Lake supports Penn Highlands Hospital and expect the same respect to be shown to us. Please rectify this situation.
My stay at PH 5th floor was great this time!Couldn't ask for better care.Thank you
Would you change family doctors? Due to you was NOT getting what you are hooked on like pain pills from Med Express, or Q-Care, or E.R. THE OLD DOCTOR STOPPED GIVEN THEM PAIN PILLS! I know someones doing this! IF ANY DOCTORS SEE THIS? PLEASE MAKE NEW PATIENTS SIGN SOMETHING TO THE FAMILY CAN NOT SUE YOU DUE TO THE FAMILY GETTING HOOKED ON PAIN PILLS OR WRONGFUL DEATH FROM THE PAIN PILLS!
I received the Health Lines magazing and was a little perturbed at the spelling errors in it. While I expect illiteracy from Clearfield's Progress newspaper, I didn't expect it from something like this.
