Hello, my name is Dr. Hoover, a third generation Chiropractor! I have literally grown up in the profession of chiropractic care and loved watching both my Father and Grandfather care for their patients with just their hands while obtaining remarkable results. From that moment on, I had a love for healthcare because it gives myself ability to help people and to change their lives for the better. When I was in undergrad, I knew I wanted to be a doctor but was unsure in what specific field. After much contemplation, I decided to follow in my Father and Grandfathers footsteps. I made this decision because I just felt the more holistic/natural approach was for me. My first choice for my Chiropractic education was New York Chiropractic College for many reasons. The training was very intense but it never really seemed like work to me because I loved what we were learning. As we got into clinic and started applying all the training, it was thrilling to see the impact I could have on someones life with nothing but my hands. I dabbled in all kinds of adjusting and soft tissue techniques. I was on the hunt to find which ones worked best for the patient and I. One technique will not work for every patient so why limit yourself; that’s why I was training myself to be the Swiss army knife of manual therapies. While at New York Chiropractic College, I fell in love with nutrition after observing the huge impact that it can have on our lives. I increased my knowledge by taking every nutrition class and seminar I could. The body is a super complex structure and I wanted to have more tools in my belt than just my hands to help the patients heal. Once into my practice, I started researching Functional Medicine and found great results! I knew this is something my practice should consist of and needed to educate myself more on. So I enrolled in a program to further my knowledge. Next step in a long line of things I look to accomplish, is work at obtaining my Diplomate in Nutrition. I plan on continuing my education in order to better care for my patients, I look forward to meeting you soon! Chiropractic isn't just for your back or neck pain, I also treat everything from your feet to your hands. If you get Migraines or headaches give Chiropractic a try we can help you. I use a variety of treatments including Chiropractic Adjustments, Myofascial Release, Nimmo trigger point therapy, Connectx instrument assisted connective tissue mobilization, Therapeutic stretching of taut muscles. Functional Medicine is available here also. Functional medicine looks for the underlying causes or deficiencies in disease processes instead of just treating the symptomolgy. Nutritional counseling is available for those looking to eat healthier. Some insurances are accepted. Walk ins are welcome.
