🌟 Leading the way in joint replacement — right here in central Pennsylvania!

Dr. McClellan and Dr. Greenleaf are not just performing outstanding hip and knee surgeries — they’re shaping the future of orthopedics. These two have been invited to speak at national and international conferences, sharing their expertise on advanced surgical protocols, improving efficiency, and reducing pain and narcotic use after surgery — all while delivering exceptional outcomes at our outpatient surgery center, Advanced Center for Surgery and UOCSS 👊.

🏖️ Most recently, they traveled to California to discuss how our innovative protocols and streamlined processes are setting a new standard in joint replacement — and how these practices can benefit patients everywhere.

📣 A Visit with Dr. Andrew Wickline at UOC!🦴

We were honored to welcome Dr. Andrew Wickline alongside Dr. Chris McClellan to University Orthopedics Center to share the mission of March2aMillion — a powerful nationwide movement helping one million patients recover from hip and knee replacement surgery with little to no opioids. 🙌

This initiative is more than a number—it’s a new standard in surgical recovery. It’s about raising awareness, reshaping recovery, and reducing opioid dependency—one patient at a time.

At UOC, Dr. McClellan is already putting this into action, implementing different medications and techniques into our total joint protocol to make it possible for patients to undergo joint replacement surgery with very little to no narcotics.

🌟 Celebrating Susie Amore’s Retirement! 🌟

After an incredible 28 years of dedication, compassion, and excellence, we’re saying goodbye (but never farewell) to Susie Amore, PTA, as she retires from UOC!

Susie’s journey with us began as a student intern—and from day one, her passion for helping patients thrive has left a lasting impact. 💙

Now, she’s off to enjoy more time with family and friends in Northwestern PA, with dinner from Lychee in one hand and a glass of wine in the other! 🍷✨

In retirement, Susie plans to dive deeper into her favorite hobbies:

🌳 Exploring her roots through genealogy

🏃‍♂️🏐 SPORTS PHYSICALS FOR STUDENT ATHLETES 🏈🏃‍♀️

University Orthopedics is proud to support the student athletes of Blair County as they prepare for their summer and fall sports seasons. We performed the physicals to local schools, specifically Bishop Guilfoyle Academy and Hollidaysburg Area High School screened by our expert nurses and completed by orthopedic surgeons, not just general examiners.

Your athletes are evaluated by the very specialists who treat sports injuries every day.

These physicals are essential to ensure every athlete is healthy, ready to compete, and protected from preventable injuries. It’s part of our commitment to keeping our community strong and active.

We performed 146 physical examinations last evening! 💪🏻.

Thank you to our sports fellowship trained Orthopedic surgeons Dr Port, Dr Tyndall, Dr Vankleunen, our orthopedic fellowship trained sports medicine physicians Dr Saylor, Dr Riley Burke, and one of PAs Annie Milwicz!
