Marshall Browning Hospital (MBH) is a fully accredited, not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital. The Hospital has 25 private acute-care beds and a workforce of over 300 employees. MBH is your community healthcare provider, situated on a beautiful 17-acre campus that includes a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, and two rural health clinics: Marshall Browning Medical Clinic and the East Medical Clinic. The East Medical Clinic provides family medicine, surgery, and podiatry services. Marshall Browning Hospital offers inpatient and outpatient care; emergency, medical and surgical services, lab, rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, and 19 specialty clinics. Our mission is to improve the health and quality of life for the people and communities we serve. Our vision is to be the hospital of choice for our community by providing exceptional patient care and outstanding service. Marshall Browning Hospital is proud of its many achievements, and above all, its friendly and family-like atmosphere. MBH has received accreditation from The Joint Commission as a result of its demonstrated compliance with The Joint Commission's nationally recognized healthcare standards. In addition, MBH offers a variety of specialty clinics that include 17 specialists from the Southern Illinois and St. This enables patients who require specialist services to remain in their local community without needing to travel out of town. Current specialty clinics offered include Cardiology, Coumadin Clinic, Dietitian Consultation, Diabetes Educator, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology/Hepatology, Nephrology, Pain Management, Podiatry, Pulmonology/Sleep Clinic, Rheumatology, General Surgery, Urology, and Wound Clinic. From pediatrics to seniors, Marshall Browning Hospital is dedicated to making you feel secure, knowing that you or your loved one will receive the best medical care possible from qualified and compassionate staff. You don't have to travel far to get expert wound care. Dr. Isaac Lowe, who leads our Wound Care Clinic, is a Certified Wound Specialist Physician. He works closely with Chelby, RN, who is a Certified Wound Care Associate. They use a multidisciplinary approach to heal chronic wounds and prevent recurrence. Chronic wounds can be caused by diabetes, poor circulation, traumatic injury, or other conditions.

You'll be thoroughly evaluated and given a personalized care plan at our clinic. To get started or to find out more, call 618.790.7401. Our Wound Care Clinic is located in the East Medical Clinic at 916 N. Washington St. in Du Quoin and is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you or someone close to you needs skilled rehabilitation services after an injury, illness, surgery, stroke, heart attack, or joint replacement, we have an outstanding Swing Bed program. You may also need this service after a fall, for generalized weakness, or for extended antibiotic therapy.

We can provide you with skilled nursing, wound care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and lymphedema therapy, as well as any other support you may need. We have providers available 24/7, private rooms, and so much more.

Did you know we now offer a weekly Orthopedic Clinic? The clinic is led by Certified Physician Assistant Lukas Ward. Whether you’re dealing with lingering pain, a new ache, or mobility issues that slow you down, you’ll find the support you need.

Lukas sees patients EVERY WEDNESDAY. He conducts evaluations for common bone and joint concerns, helps determine what’s going on, and guides you toward the right next steps.

Today, Marshall Browning Hospital participated in the Du Quoin FFA College and Career Fair at Du Quoin High School, where we connected with future healthcare leaders! We are proud to support local students as they explore career opportunities and gain insight into the healthcare field. February is National Heart Month, and we were blessed to have Dr. Rizwan Khan, cardiologist with Prairie Cardiovascular, as our speaker yesterday. Dr. Khan presented an outstanding program on Coronary Artery Disease – Heart Attacks, Stents, & Bypasses: Everything You Need to Know. He reviewed the causes of heart attacks, what stents do, when bypass surgery is needed, myths versus facts, and how to stay out of the cath lab. It was a wonderful interactive program, and it was evident how passionate Dr. Khan is about educating patients. Blood pressure checks were also provided to participants by Stephanie Hall, Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Clinical Services.
