Spa Day Delight!

Today was a day of pure indulgence and creativity! 🌺✨ Not only did we pamper ourselves with a fabulous hair day, but we also treated our nails to a stunning makeover. 💅 But the fun didn’t stop there—our jewelry got a little TLC and is sparkling like new! 💎

To add an extra touch of beauty to our day, we arranged some lovely flowers for our Easter celebration. 🌸🌼 And to top it all off, we unleashed our artistic side by decorating art pieces that will be proudly displayed tomorrow. 🎨

Feeling refreshed, inspired, and ready to embrace the rest of the week. Hope everyone is having an equally delightful day! 💖

Meet the Team: Olivia Helbig 🌟

This week's "Meet the Team" spotlight is on Olivia from our laundry department! Olivia has been a dedicated part of our team since November 2025. Her favorite part about working here is the family-like atmosphere where everyone comes together as a team to bring joyful and supportive moments to our residents. 🏡💕

Outside of work, Olivia is working hard at school with the goal of becoming a CNA one day. In her free time, she enjoys expanding her knowledge of the medical field and indulging in arts and crafts. 🎨📚

Celebrating National Something on a Stick Day! 🎉

Today, we had the best time celebrating National Something on a Stick Day by creating our very own Peeps on a Stick! 🐥✨ It was so fun, and it brought back so many fond memories. From classic corn dogs to sweet caramel apples, there’s just something magical about enjoying food on a stick.

Hello from DuQuoin Nursing!

In case anyone has been wondering what we've been up to this week, we've been living our best life here at DuQuoin Nursing! 🌷☀️ With the start of spring and the beautiful sunshine, our spirits are high.

Our residents have found new favorites in table air hockey and Bunny Ping Pong, which have quickly become crowd favorites. 🎉🏓 We also had the most wonderful birthday celebration, thanks to the generous folks at Breeze Hospice. 🎂🎈

Our weekly cooking club was a hit as always, and yes, we did share our delicious creations with everyone! 👨‍🍳🧁 Plus, we had the cutest crafts thanks to Rachel Gant. Everyone enjoyed getting creative and making beautiful art pieces together. 🎨🖌️

We're excited to introduce you to Kim Jansen, our newest member of the team, serving as our Infection Prevention Nurse! 🎉

Kim brings a wealth of experience, having worked in healthcare and nursing home settings across various states and even different countries. As she approaches her 36th year in the field this July, we're thrilled to have her expertise and passion on board.

Outside of work, Kim enjoys unwinding with her lovable Dobermans, who keep her company and bring her joy. 🐾
