Our center is located inside the Michael Amini Transfusion Medicine Center, where we are able to collect, analyze and process blood products. Patients at City of Hope – most of whom are fighting cancer – rely on more than 37,000 units of blood and platelets each year for their survival. And every one of those units comes from people like you – family, friends and other caring individuals who want

to make a difference. Because there is no substitute for human blood, your donation is a lifeline to the men, women and children in our care.

250 platelet donations is a very BIG DEAL! Carol Ewins just reached an incredible milestone! 250 times choosing to show up, sit down, and save lives. At our hospital, platelets are always needed, and donors like Carol make it possible for patients to get the care they depend on every single day.

And a very special (slightly teasing 😉) congratulations to Nurse Tohn for being the one to draw her 250th donation. What an honor! We’re pretty sure that’s going on your résumé, Tohn.
