Our center is located inside the Michael Amini Transfusion Medicine Center, where we are able to collect, analyze and process blood products. Patients at City of Hope – most of whom are fighting cancer – rely on more than 37,000 units of blood and platelets each year for their survival. And every one of those units comes from people like you – family, friends and other caring individuals who want to make a difference. Because there is no substitute for human blood, your donation is a lifeline to the men, women and children in our care.

These MVPs have more in common than just showing up on Super Bowl Sunday 🏈 Each of them has a loved ❤️one who has battled or is currently battling cancer. And instead of just cheering from the sidelines, they stepped up to make a real impact by donating blood and platelets.

1 donor gave triple platelets (now that’s a power play). 3 donated blood 🩸 together in honor of a loved one in treatment. And 1 proud dad donated even though he was rooting for the team that didn’t win… we’ll let that slide 😉 Because at the end of the day, the real win wasn’t on the field, it was in the donor chair.
