Since 2020, A Better Way Transport has proudly served our community with safe, reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT).

We’re excited to announce that we are now expanding our services to better serve the needs of our area! In addition to medical transportation, we are now offering:

✔️ Private and scheduled rides
✔️ Local Pharmacy & Grocery Store Trips

We are fully insured and certified, giving our clients and partners peace of mind knowing they’re working with a professional and dependable transportation provider.

A Better Way Transport is a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation company that specializes in safely & professionally transporting members to various medical appointments. We regularly service the entire SWVA region & transport to medical appointments all over VA & its bordering states.

We are looking for a safe & conscientious driver to hire FULL TIME to help our team continue to make an impact in OUR community. A company car and gas will be provided for you.

This driver position starts at $15.50/hour & bonuses up to $100 per long distance trip 💰

🚨 If you have the availability, OT is offered! 🚨

Applicants must meet the following:

- Have a Valid Driver’s License
- No lapse of drivers license in the last 3 years
- Must be 21 years of age
- DMV Report with positive points (0+)
- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass a Drug Test
- Completion of driving certification class before starting
- Be available to work M-F & available to work 1-2 Saturday’s a month
- PLUS: SUNDAYS OFF! ‼️

A bitter sweet moment for us here today at ABWT!

Today is Dylan’s last day working here at A Better Way Transport! 🥲

Dylan joined us back in 2022 as the 2nd driver to come aboard, worked his way up to become the “New Hire Training Supervisor” & has trained dozens of drivers who have came aboard over the years!

Dylan’s dedication to the companies mission has helped grow ABWT to be everything that it is today & we want to wish him well in his future endeavors as he passionately pursues a career in the medical field! He has embodied everything we have ever wanted ABWT to stand for & we appreciate everything he has done for ABWT, our community & most importantly, the many people that he has transported over the years!

Meet the COO,
… better described as the chaos coordinator.

The chaos, likely caused by Nick 🤣, she makes function. Planning, routing, scheduling, trip fixing, payroll and admin duties and day to day organization - that’s typically her departments.

Jayla became involved with the business when Nick was out of work from a shoulder surgery. Hundreds relied on ABWT to operate weekly, so she dove in and figured it out. Over time, she began implementing systems for more functional organization and daily business operations. It didn’t take long for Nick to decide he wanted to keep her around.

If you’ve called the business phone, it’s likely you’ve spoken with her or she may have even called you. If help is needed, she’s the one to call 📞

Meet Jesse.

The first to join Nick! Our most requested driver with the highest mileage record. You call him, he’s there. Always. No questions asked. Dependable is an understatement. In every way, he is a huge part of the foundation and story of ABWT.

If our math is mathin right, Jesse has clocked in over 190k miles in the little over 2 years he’s been with ABWT.

You may catch Jesse in the grey ghost, but where? Who knows. Jesse’s day to day schedule is a wild card, and that’s how he likes it. He enjoys having the chance to see different parts of VA and check out the local dives.

When he’s not working, it’s likely he’s hanging out with Rhonda and the grandkids, at their sports events, or smoking a good cigar.

Meet the CEO. The man with the heart and the vision. The reason we’re all here. The boss.

None other than, Nick. Y’all know him.

Nick graduated from NRCC with a degree in business management and later in 2021, started A Better Way Transport as a Lone Ranger. He did it all: the one and only driver while also being the CEO, admin, bookkeeper, dispatch, future trip booker, customer service. Any and everything ABWT needed, he was it. He worked alone for months, determined to build this entire business differently, to do what was in his power to make a difference. Every single day.

To build that culture. That standard.

In three years, Nick has grown A Better Way Transport from one to eleven employees and the fleet from one to ten vehicles with trips spanning across Virginia and bordering states daily.

… but that’s only part of his story. If you see him out, say hey! Can’t miss that orange car of his.
