💛 Uterine Cancer Awareness 💛

Uterine (endometrial) cancer is the most common gynecological cancer. The most common warning sign is abnormal bleeding, especially after menopause. Other symptoms may include pelvic pain or unusual discharge.

The good news—when caught early, uterine cancer is highly treatable. Regular checkups and reporting any unusual changes to your provider are key to early detection.

💙 Ovarian Cancer Awareness 💙

Ovarian cancer is sometimes called the “silent cancer” because early symptoms can be vague. Still, knowing what to look for can make a big difference. Watch and read the information below to gain knowledge as to what to look for.

There is currently no routine screening test for ovarian cancer, which makes your annual exam and paying attention to your body especially important. If symptoms persist, don’t wait— call and schedule a visit at (478)-272-8580.

Your health matters. 💙

What if your Pap smear or cervical cancer screening comes back abnormal?

First, don’t panic. An “abnormal” result does not mean you have cancer. It simply means that some cells on your cervix look different from normal, and your provider wants to take a closer look.

Depending on your results, the next steps may include:
🔹 Repeat Pap smear or HPV test – sometimes changes go away on their own.
🔹 Colposcopy – a closer exam of the cervix using a special microscope.
🔹 Biopsy – if needed, a small sample of tissue is taken for further testing.

The goal is early detection and treatment of any changes before they develop into cancer. Staying up to date with your annual exams is the best way to keep your health protected.

Call to schedule your annual exam today at (478)-272-8580!

🩵Cervical Cancer Awareness🩵

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable gynecological cancers when caught early through routine screenings. Regular Pap smears and HPV testing allow us to detect abnormal changes before they develop into cancer.

Most cervical cancers are linked to HPV (human papillomavirus), which makes vaccination and screening especially important.

✅ Schedule your annual exam – it’s one of the best ways to protect your health.
✅ Talk with your provider about Pap smear and HPV screening guidelines.
✅ Stay proactive with prevention and early detection.

Your health matters—don’t wait. Call us today to schedule your annual visit at (478)-272-8580.

🧬 Know Your Family History 🧬

Before your appointment, take a moment to learn about your family’s health history. Knowing if close relatives have had conditions like breast, ovarian, uterine, or colon cancer can help your provider better understand your risks and guide the screenings or prevention strategies that are right for you.

Bringing this information to your visit helps us give you the most personalized care possible. 💜
