A Morning of Access, Awareness, and Action in San Francisco
Our Aging Well Expo at the Dr. George W. Davis Senior Center brought together seniors, providers, and community partners for a morning focused on education, protection, and connection. Hosted with the Urban League of Greater San Francisco Bay Area, the event created meaningful dialogue around aging well and coordinated care.
The program began with a CalAIM overview from Deka D**e and introductions from Neal Hatten (BHPMSS), followed by Omatochi’s signature banana dance.
Our CalAIM Provider Panel featured Camille Cooley (Kaiser Permanente), Shauntessa Aguon-Clark (San Francisco Family Health Plan), Alana Pfeffinger (Anthem), Bella Bunkers (Mom’s Meals), Michelle Huerta (GA Foods), and Avanina Cayetano (Omatochi), who shared insights on Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports.
A highlight was the Financial Fraud Prevention skit by Omatochi’s Chief of Operations Lamar and Care Manager Tammy, bringing awareness to common scams targeting seniors.
The Expo closed with remarks from Kenneth Maxey (Urban League of Greater San Francisco), followed by provider spotlights, raffles, lunch, and tabling.
When community comes together with purpose, education becomes empowerment. This is collaboration. This is aging well.
