Dr. Alix is the owner of Alix ChiroRehab and has been in private practice since 1999. He utilizes multiple rehabilitative techniques, physical therapy, and spinal decompression in the management of these conditions.

He received a bachelor's degree from John Carroll University in 1995, an additional bachelor's degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1997 and a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1999.

Dr. Alix resides in Dublin, Ohio with his wife and two children.

Did you know 80% of headaches originate from the neck. An increased amount of stress and tension held in the shoulders causes contractions of the surrounding neck muscles. When these muscles contract, vertebrae can become misaligned causing pressure on spinal nerves, and ultimately pain. With a typical cervicogenic (neck origin) headache, a person usually feels pain starting at the base of the skull which radiates into the temples, eyeballs, and forehead.

There may be several other causes of headaches, so a proper examination is needed to determine the actual cause before any treatment or specialist referrals are recommended.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation, often referred to as STIM, helps the body in the healing process. The therapy utilizes a very small electrical current to help reduce swelling and release trigger points that lock up the muscle. It works well in relaxing the muscle and allowing it to return to its normal state rather quickly. Short therapy sessions are excellent at facilitating healing from acute and chronic pain.
