Please help us congratulate Janice Adams on completing her Masters in Occupational Therapy (MSOT)!! This has been no easy task while working and raising a family, but yesterday she crossed the finish line! We know our patients have been missing her as much as we have since May, and we are so excited she is back part time right now in her COTA role then will transition to our full time OT after taking her boards! Congratulations, Janice! We are so proud of you!!

****Did you know that hospitals have an influx of patients each July 4th as a result of fireworks-related mishaps? Here are a few tips from our therapists to keep you safe this holiday:

🇺🇸Don't hold fireworks in your hand or have any part of your body over them while lighting.

🇺🇸Light one firework at a time

🇺🇸Never relight a dud

🇺🇸Pay attention to others lighting fireworks. They can backfire or shoot off in the wrong direction.

🇺🇸Don’t allow kids to pick up fireworks after an event. The fireworks could still be hot or even explode

🇺🇸For our pet lovers: Keep your pets inside. This reduces the chance of them getting harmed or running away.

And if an injury happens:

🇺🇸Remove clothing from the burned area

🇺🇸Go to the hospital immediately
