👩 Q:
“My eczema gets worse after showers. I think my skin hates bathing!”

🙋 A:
“Your skin doesn’t hate bathing — it hates boiling water 😄. Those hot revenge showers are the real problem!”

Warm water + gentle cleanser = peace.
Volcano-level water = itching, redness, drama 🔥

And oils? Each one has a job:
• Dry & flaky → sesame or ghee
• Red & burning → coconut
• Oozing patches → neem

Clothes matter too — if it’s tight, synthetic, or shiny, your skin will file a complaint 📄😅.

Add regular meals, good sleep, and a few minutes of breathing to reduce stress.
Because eczema loves chaos — and hates routine!

Calm the routine, and eczema stops acting like a daily soap opera 🌿.

When it comes to eczema, your daily routine matters as much as food.
The way you bathe, oil your skin, dress, sleep, and manage stress can either calm flare-ups or trigger them 🌿.

✨ 1. Bathing Rules
Take short, warm showers — not hot.
Hot water increases Pitta heat, strips natural oils, and worsens itching and redness.
Use mild, fragrance-free cleansers and avoid scrubbing.

✨ 2. Pre-Shower Oil Application (Abhyanga Lite)
Apply a thin layer of oil before bathing:
• Coconut oil → for heat and redness (Pitta)
• Sesame oil or ghee → for dryness and flaking (Vata)
• Neem or light oils → for oozing patches (Kapha)
This protects the skin barrier and reduces irritation.

✨ 3. After-Shower Care
Pat dry — don’t rub.
Apply a light moisturizer while the skin is still slightly damp to lock in moisture.

✨ 4. Clothing & Environment
Choose breathable cotton fabrics.
Avoid tight or synthetic clothing that traps heat and sweat.

✨ 5. Sleep & Stress Routine
Sleep before 11 PM — nighttime is when the body cools and repairs.
Simple breathing or meditation helps prevent stress-triggered flare-ups.

A routine that moisturizes Vata, cools Pitta, and keeps Kapha light creates long-term eczema relief 🌿.

👩 Q:
“Why does my eczema react differently every time I eat? One day itching… another day burning… some days it’s… oozing!”

🙋 A:
“That’s because each dosha has its own way of complaining 😄.”

🌬 Dry itching → Vata
🔥 Red burning → Pitta
💧 Oozing patches → Kapha

Your plate decides which one shows up!

✨ What helps?
• For Vata → warm foods, soups, ghee, soaked almonds.
• For Pitta → cooling foods like cucumber, gourds, coconut water.
• For Kapha → light meals, warm veggies, no cold foods.

🚫 What to avoid?
Anything that sounds like a food experiment — milk with sour fruits, seafood with milk, curd at night, chilies, fried food.
Your skin sees these and calls an emergency meeting 😅.

Calm Vata, cool Pitta, lighten Kapha — and eczema stops reacting to every little thing.

01/02/2026

Eczema is tridoshic, which means food choices must calm Vata, cool Pitta, and lighten Kapha — all while avoiding foods that create inflammation and Ama 🌿.

✨ 1. For Vata Dryness & Itching
Choose warm, freshly cooked meals.
Add healthy fats like ghee, coconut, soups, and soaked almonds.
Avoid cold salads, dry crackers, and skipping meals — they worsen dryness and itching.

✨ 2. For Pitta Redness & Burning
Favor cooling foods like cucumber, gourds, zucchini, coriander, fennel, coconut water, and sweet fruits.
Avoid chilies, fried foods, sour curd, tomatoes, vinegar, and fermented foods — they add heat and irritation.

✨ 3. For Kapha Oozing & Thick Patches
Eat light, warm meals — steamed vegetables, soups, and spices like cumin and turmeric.
Limit heavy dairy, sugar, oily foods, and cold meals.

✨ 4. Avoid Incompatible Food Combinations
No milk with sour fruits.
No seafood with milk.
No curd at night.
No citrus with dairy.
These combinations increase Ama and make the skin highly reactive.

✨ 5. Simple Daily Food Rhythm
Eat only when hungry.
Keep dinner light and early.
Sip warm water or CCF tea to support digestion.

A clean, warm, cooling, and simple diet is one of the strongest tools to bring eczema under control — from the inside out 🌿.

Every New Year, we feel pressure to add more—
more goals, more routines, more discipline, more expectations.

But the body and mind don’t always need more.
Very often, they need relief.

Instead of adding another habit or rule this year, pause for a moment and reflect:
What is one thing that no longer supports your balance?

It could be a daily habit that quietly drains energy.
A routine that disrupts sleep or digestion.
A repeated pattern that creates unnecessary stress.

In Ayurveda, healing often begins by removing what blocks balance, rather than constantly adding more interventions.
When space is created, digestion improves, the nervous system settles, and clarity follows naturally.

This is not about perfection or drastic change.
It’s about awareness, simplicity, and consistency.

As you begin this year, try removing just one thing—and observe how your body and mind respond.

Happy New Year 2026!

👩 Q
“Why does my eczema act like it has its own personality? One day calm… next day it’s FIRE + ITCH concert!”

🙋 A:
“That’s because your skin is basically a WhatsApp group where Pitta, Vata, and Kapha are all arguing at the same time 😄.”

🔥 Pitta says: “It’s too hot!”
🌬 Vata says: “I’m too dry!”
💧 Kapha says: “I’m stuck here!”
And your skin? ITCH NOW!

Stress makes it worse because Pitta heats up, Vata panics, digestion weakens, and the liver sends all that heat straight to the skin.

So no — eczema isn’t random.
It’s a tridoshic drama with a liver side-plot.

Next week, we’ll calm the drama with cooling foods, soothing routines, and simple daily habits 🌿.

Eczema — known as Vicharchika in Ayurveda — is not just dry or itchy skin. It’s a chronic inflammatory condition where the skin barrier weakens and the immune system becomes overly reactive.

Modern medicine explains eczema as inflammation and hypersensitivity.
Ayurveda goes deeper and explains why this inflammation happens.

Eczema develops when:
🔥 Pitta creates heat, redness, and inflammation
🌬 Vata causes dryness, roughness, and itching
💧 Kapha may add oozing, thickened, or sticky patches

This tridoshic imbalance mixes with Rakta Dhatu (blood) and Ama (toxins), often driven by weak digestion, incompatible foods, stress, and liver overload. The result? Flare-ups that appear suddenly and unpredictably on the skin.

In Ayurveda, the approach is simple yet powerful:
cool Pitta, calm Vata, detoxify the blood, and nourish the skin barrier.

This week, we understand the why.
Next week, we’ll focus on diet and daily routines to soothe eczema naturally 🌿.

👩 Q: Murali, I bought a $60 clay mask… my face still looks like it’s in a mood swing!”
🙋 A: “That’s because your mask doesn’t have a degree in Ayurveda 😄.”

For acne, Ayurveda uses Manjistha, Neem, and Guduchi — they don’t just hide the problem, they negotiate peace inside your bloodstream.
Manjistha = calm counselor
Neem = toxin bouncer
Guduchi = chill friend who tells your skin, “Relax!”

And yes — the face mask recipe is real: oatmeal + red lentil + turmeric + rose.
Friend: “That sounds like breakfast!”
Me: “Yes… but for your skin! Five minutes later, you’ll look like you returned from a spa in the Himalayas.”

No harsh scrubs needed — treat your skin like a Pitta princess: cool, gentle, slightly pampered.

12/19/2025

Last week we cooled acne through food. This week, we support the skin with Ayurvedic herbs that calm Pitta, purify Rakta Dhatu, and reduce inflammation from the inside out 🌿.

✨ 1. Cool & Purify from Within:
• Manjistha – deeply cleanses and cools the blood.
• Neem – antibacterial, anti-inflammatory.
• Guduchi – calms Pitta and supports immunity.
These three together act like your skin’s natural housekeeping team — clearing heat + toxins gently.

✨ 2. Helpful Ayurvedic Formulations:
• Nimbadi Decoction: Neem + Guduchi + fennel, boiled to half; ½ cup twice daily for liver–blood detox.
• Radiant Skin tablets: Manjistha, Sandalwood & Picrorhiza — excellent for Pitta balance.
• Feeling stressed? A gentle emotional-balancing formula helps keep Pitta from turning into breakouts.

✨ 3. External Care – Classic Ayurvedic Face Mask:
Mix colloidal oatmeal + red lentil powder + a pinch of turmeric + rose petal powder + rose water.
Apply for 5 minutes and rinse with cool water for a soothing, matte glow.

✨ Pro Tip: Mist rose water during the day — Ayurveda’s “cool down, Pitta” signal ❄️

👩 Q: “I swear, I eat healthy all week… then one samosa and my skin declares war!”
🙋 A: “Your skin’s not mad at that samosa — it’s just cleaning up from the last few rounds 😅.”

In Ayurveda, acne happens when Pitta heat and Ama toxins overload the blood and liver.
Your liver’s like a roommate — ignore it long enough, and it starts leaving messages on your face!

✨ Peace offering?
Keep meals simple. Add cooling foods like cucumber, coriander, and ghee.
Sip CCF tea, and sleep before midnight — that’s when your liver’s actually working, not scrolling!

Treat your liver like a friend, and your skin won’t ghost you 😉

12/12/2025

Now that we know acne comes from excess Pitta heat and Ama toxins in the blood and liver, let’s focus on what to do every day 🌿

✨ 1. Cool the Fire with Food:
Avoid fried, spicy, sour, and fermented foods — they fuel Pitta.
Choose cooling foods like cucumbers, gourds, coriander, fennel, juicy fruits, and coconut water.
Add a spoon of ghee to nourish without clogging pores.

✨ 2. Keep Digestion Clean:
Sip CCF tea (cumin, coriander, fennel) after meals.
Eat only when hungry and keep dinner light.

✨ 3. Support the Liver & Blood:
Start mornings with warm water and a teaspoon of amla or a slice of aloe to detox gently.
Sleep before midnight — your liver cleanses best at night.

✨ 4. Mind & Stress Care:
Meditation, pranayama, and rest calm hormones and reduce breakouts.

Because glowing skin isn’t found in a bottle — it’s built in your kitchen and routine 💫.

12/08/2025

👩 Q: “Why do I get pimples every time I eat spicy food or stay up late?”
🙋 A “Because your skin’s basically saying — I’m done with your Pitta overload 😅!”

In Ayurveda, acne flares up when your inner fire (Pitta) gets too high — from stress, heat, or oily junk food.
You can’t cool that with facewash alone!

Cool your plate, cool your mind 🌿
Think cucumber, mint, and aloe instead of chips and hot sauce 🔥.
