New EMDR therapists can love to dive into the “real work” of processing… but here’s the secret: with complex and attachment trauma, prep is the real work.
Slow it down. Build the resources. Strengthen attachment. Help the nervous system feel safe and regulated before you go anywhere near a high‑intensity target. Your future self (and your client) will thank you.
P.S. Foundational training consultation calendar is live for those who trained under Amber Stiles‑Bodnar Consulting.
P.S.S. The Certification Circle is opening February 1 – save the date.

Here we go again.

New year. New offerings. Same questions that I love answering.

If you’ve decided that this is the year you’re going to get trained, check out the training options, if you decided this is the year to get certified, check out the certification circle coming up, if this is the year you’ve decided to move into a consultant role, hang on to your hat- new requirements are about to drop and the plan is still the second half of the year.

If you’re already EMDR trained and keep telling yourself you’ll “get to certification someday”… this is that someday 👀

The Certification Circle was created for clinicians who want consistent, certification-eligible consultation without pressure, confusion, or breaking the bank.
This is about depth, follow-through, and actually feeling confident in your EMDR work, not rushing or performing.

If you’re ready to level up in a way that feels sustainable and human, sign-ups open February 1st.
Save this or DM me if you’re wondering whether it’s a fit.

If EMDR training has been on your “someday” list, this might be your sign 👀

Here’s where you’ll want to be, EMDR Therapy Training Part I (in person) in 2026.
Curriculum: The Institute of Creative Mindfulness
Taught in a way that’s practical, grounded in complex trauma, by an amazing team.

If you’ve been wanting training that feels supportive — not overwhelming — save this, share it with a colleague, or DM me with questions.

The consultation circle sign ups will begin February 1st!

I’m excited. You should be excited.

The EMDR Certification Circle is a 6-month cohort offering you a grand total of 12 hours of EMDR consultation sessions with Melissa (me), with additional resources, an the occasional visit of consultant in trainings for extra brain power.

ALL OF THIS IS REASONABLY PRICED, my goal is not to make certification out of reach.

Tag who needs to be tagged. 💪

😅👀
In EMDR therapy, humor can be adaptive and protective.
We don’t shut it down. We notice it, track it, and get curious about what it’s guarding.

If sarcasm keeps getting there first, you’re not doing EMDR wrong.

Interested in getting certified? I have sign ups coming soon for The Certification Circle!

Me when I’m off the clock and someone asks me this 👀

EMDR is powerful — and nuanced, relational, and definitely not a shortcut.
If this question lives rent-free in your head… you’re not doing it wrong.
You’re learning.

PS: Curious about getting trained in EMDR?
Check the link in bio. Training with Ambers team means we use the Institute for Creative Mindfulness curriculum.
DM me to see which trainings I’ll be at next.

P.S.S.: Working toward EMDR certification and feeling low-key overwhelmed by the process?
Same. Let’s make it way less confusing, link in bio or come chat with me
