I am beyond appreciative and truly thankful for this incredible community we’re part of. I honestly can’t imagine being anywhere else but Dubuque. Coming from Chicago and facing the personal challenges and struggles I’ve gone through, I never thought winning any of the awards we’ve received would be possible. Yet here we are—and I am deeply humbled and grateful.

This award isn’t just mine. It belongs to our amazing community and the many incredible organizations I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of. Without the dedication and groundwork laid by so many passionate individuals, I wouldn’t be in this position today.

So, I want to give a huge shoutout to all the local nonprofits, small businesses, and community organizations. Your tireless efforts and commitment to making Dubuque better each day are what make recognitions like this possible. Thank you for all that you do.
