Can you guess the HIGHLIGHT of our day?

Spoiler: it was volunteering with and their annual Apples for Students - Fill the Bag initiative!

This incredible program provides school supplies to over 3,600 students in the Dubuque area. MedOne spent the morning unpacking and organizing highlighters, glue sticks, and backpacks, getting everything ready for packing day later this week.

We can’t think of a better way to spend a Tuesday morning! 🍎📚📝🖇️📙

Interns Jordan DeKoter & Murphy Newlin wrapped up their summer internships with MedOne today. After taking rotations with three different departments, they studied under, worked with, and learned from several members of the MedOne team, and it's no secret that they will surely be missed.

The two concluded the internship experience with a joint presentation on our J-Code program yesterday, no small feat!

Thank you both for choosing to spend your summer with MedOne! It was a privilege and a pleasure hosting you here in Dubuque. Best of luck on the fall semester!

Transparency is rising, both in the PBM market and in Washington, D.C.!

Chief Pharmacy Officer Dr. Nate Harold is in the Capitol for “Transparency Is Rising”, an event with Transparency Rx focused on discussing insights, actions, and solutions surrounding America’s healthcare system and pharmaceutical supply chain.

This event features an impressive lineup of industry experts, and Dr. Nate speaks tomorrow as part of a session titled “Transforming Plans and Formularies with Radical Transparency.”

PBM reform is in the spotlight, and we are excited to be on the right side of change, advocating for transparency across the marketplace.

Today we said "farewell" and "good luck" to Claire Horsfield, a P4 student at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. Claire was with us for the last five weeks, and wrapped up her rotation with a presentation on immunization recommendations.

After giving a vaccine overview and presenting the bulk of her content, she challenged the larger MedOne team to determine which vaccines different patient scenarios were due for, which they needed, and which they shouldn't receive, based on the scenario. Such a fun and engaging way to present the topic!

MedOne YPs attended last month’s Young Professionals Dubuque County Government Panel.

They heard from country officials about everything from the election process and key functions and expectations of the various roles to common misconceptions about county government, the importance of mentorship, and significant projects like how the county is addressing the opioid epidemic.
