💙 Runde Gives Back – February Community Partner 💙

We’re proud to continue Runde Gives Back, our monthly initiative where our team supports causes that matter in our community.

For February, we’re supporting The Riverview Center, an organization that provides support, advocacy, and healing services for individuals and families affected by sexual & domestic violence.

We’ll start with a guaranteed $2,500 and add $1 for every like on this original post, with total donations capped at $5,000. Sharing helps spread the word and support The Riverview Center even further.

As always, we had another great session with our young men from Jefferson Middle School. We also love recognizing and rewarding students for their hard work in the classroom. Good grades matter, and we want to show them the value that comes from staying focused and doing their best.

These young men earned their spot in today’s pizza party, and we couldn’t be more proud of them. Keep up the great work — we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re rooting for you every step of the way.

The voting turnout is not good in this town, obviously the message is not reaching enough people. Disenfranchised people, are still disenfranchised, my fear is, they’ll stay that way.

While true, leadership has been slack, I know they can do better; they MUST do better. I’d rather have people working to make things better, working harder for the people, and learning to be more transparent, than money driven people with no real plans for the future of this town.

The incumbents deserve at least a chance to follow their visions and bring them to fruition. Let’s see what they can really do, let’s watch the town have a rebirth that includes ALL the people, not some of the people.

Lots of money does not equal ethics, integrity, and hearts of service. It equals smug attitudes, it equals a mentality that money can buy your way into anything, and it equals the attitude of if someone doesn’t get their way, they will take their ball amd go somewhere else. I say bye bye to that mess.

I believe in a better Dubuque, I still stand by everything I campaigned on, words are powerful and you know I had a lot of words. I think we will be better with the people we have now, I think they will do better and I think you should believe as well.

I’m still waiting to hear real answers and solutions to real questions that people have asked the noobs, I guess they have none. Well, we can get answers from the ones we have now. You can vote for a mini version of the regime, or you can vote for a team that will work hard for you. I would go for the team that has already been hard at work.

Just watched the candidate’s forum. I can’t vote for Carmen Hernandez, but if I could, I would. She has been involved in the community, I know she listens to the people. She is the most qualified to sit in that 1st Ward council chair.

I also support Brad to hold on to his seat as Mayor. However, I would like to see him make more city decisions on his own. Also, we don’t need more parks and parking garages, I think they should find a more suitable way to use taxpayer money.

✨ We had such an amazing time at our BMC Social! ✨
Once a month, we love getting together with all of our members outside of our regular meetings—just to bond, connect, and enjoy each other’s company.

This month we had the opportunity to check out the Iowa Power game at the Five Flags Center, and it was an incredible experience! 🙌 Dubuque’s very first indoor arena football team is bringing so much energy to our community.

If you haven’t checked them out yet, their next home game is this Saturday, September 20th at 7 p.m. at the Five Flags Center—you won’t want to miss it! 🏈💥

✨ BMC August Meeting Recap ✨

What a great August meeting we had! With back-to-school season approaching, we’re gearing up to relaunch our mentorship program—something we’re very excited about. This year will bring some new energy and an impactful ending event in the schools, and we can’t wait to get started.

We also want to give a special shoutout to two amazing first-time attendees:

👏 Christopher – A senior at Clarke University and member of the soccer team. He’s a great young man with fresh insight, and we’re excited to see him continue to join us.

👏 Anthony – Head Coach of the Iowa Power indoor arena football team, brand new to Dubuque. Their program is going to be incredible for our community.
