💙 Meet our team💙
William believes in the power of music and sound healing to transform lives, unite communities, and heal the world. He is fascinated by the ways these unseen sound waves can impact our hearts, minds, and bodies.
William has been deeply drawn to the sound of gongs and tam-tams for many years. To him, they speak from another realm, from beyond our world. For several years he has enjoyed gong bath meditation at the “One. Sound Meditation Studio,” experiencing life-changing healing and insights. Now he is thrilled to join their team. ☺
In the 1990’s William began his journey with healing and energy work by learning The Radiance Technique, yet he put that practice on hold for many years while he focused on conducting symphonic music. More recently he has dived into other energy work including yoga, acupuncture, The Emotion Code, The Body Code, and The Belief Code.
Originally from Santa Monica, California, William is a highly trained classical musician, who played oboe and piano primarily before focusing on conducting. He moved to Dubuque in 2000 when he began serving as Music Director and Conductor of the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra. He has also been the Music Director and Conductor of the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra in Wyoming since 2008.
For his quarter-century commitment and dedication to the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra and the Dubuque community, the Telegraph Herald named him the 2024 First Citizen of Dubuque. The City of Dubuque also issued a proclamation naming October 2024 “Maestro William Intriligator Appreciation Month.” In 2013, Intriligator won the Dubuque County Fine Arts Society's Elisha Darlin Award, and, in 2014, he and the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra received the Dubuque365 Impact Award in Music.
William is blessed to be the father of two sons and two stepsons. He thanks God and the Spirit for unconditional love and the many blessings in his life. He is drawn to beauty and nature. He enjoys hiking and photography at Swiss Valley and Mines of Spain, tennis, mountain biking, downhill skiing, snorkeling, kayaking, and playing piano.
