Our nursing students recently completed their final simulation of the year -- an experience designed to challenge their skills in prioritization, delegation, and caring for multiple patients at once.

These simulations are where knowledge meets practice. Students step into real-world scenarios, think critically, support one another, and make decisions.

It is incredible to see how far they have come - and this final sim is just one more step in their journey toward becoming confident, compassionate nurses.

Our NRS 201 Intro to Nursing students took a creative approach to review day -- turning studying into an interactive, high-energy experience! From headbands to beachball review - the room was full of laughter, teamwork, and plenty of learning along the way.

It was a great reminder that learning can be active, collaborative, and even a little fun -- especially when preparing for finals!

Our nursing students recently partnered with our SWELL program for a "Walk and Talk" event centered on health. As members made their way around the track, they stopped along the path to engage with students covering topics like proteins, the food pyramid, calcium, and overall wellness.

Our students didn't just teach; they walked alongside participants, shared conversations and took part in the exercises with them.

Today our seniors stepped into a high-intensity disaster simulation - putting their knowledge, skills, and teamwork to the test in a dynamic, real-world scenario!

Students focused on adaptability, communication, and critical decision-making under pressure. They performed primary and secondary assessments, identified life-threatening conditions, and implemented evidence-based interventions for complex trauma patients - all while collaborating as part of an interprofessional team.

Simulations like this prepare our future nurses to respond confidently and effectively in real disaster situations.
