Meet Angelica, one of our Estheticians

What inspired you to work in the spa and wellness industry?
I love to help people feel good about themselves and I love to educate and learn about skincare.

What is your favorite service to perform and why?
I love the vitamin “C” De=Ox facial or the DeSense-itizing facial. Both include a jelly mask and it’s super fun to do.

What is one thing guests might be surprised to learn about you?
That I’m a mom to a 3 year old boy and soon to have a daughter. People think I’m younger than I am.

What do you love most about working at the spa/hotel?
I love the calming atmosphere and getting to bond with co-workers.

If you could recommend one treatment to every guest, what would it be?
The luminous facial. It’s a refreshing and much needed facial to get a deeper exfoliation.

What is your favorite way to relax when you’re not at work?
I love to watch movies with my son. Mainly Disney movies.

What is a fun fact about yourself?
I never thought about becoming an esthetician. I always wanted to be a veterinarian.

What’s your favorite part of helping guests during their spa experience?
Being able to relate to the guest on a personal level.

Meet Jessica, one of our Massage Therapist!

What inspired you to work in the spa and wellness industry?
As a kid, I was always at the family functions rubbing someone's shoulder or hands. I’ve had a healing touch for as long as I can remember

What is your favorite service to perform and why?
My default massage style is Swedish combined with deep tissue technique to provide relaxation as well as working out knots causing discomfort.

What is one thing guests might be surprised to learn about you?
In 2015, I almost died from a flesh eating bacteria, which ate the cartilage from my shoulder, But I did not let it stop me from doing what I love.

What do you love most about working at the spa/hotel?
I love the relaxing, low stress environment and helping people feel better.

If you could recommend one treatment to every guest, what would it be?
There is not one treatment I could recommend to everyone because every body is different and has different needs. Even a regular I see every month may need something different every time I see them.

What is your favorite way to relax when you’re not at work?
Listen to music, dance, watch tv, play sims

What is your go-to self-care routine?
Stretching as soon as something bothers me, breath work, and meditations, Epsom salt baths, “girls night” with my daughter, never neglecting my own needs for the sake and others.

What is a fun fact about yourself?
I am a certified Rieke: II Practitioner so they get some energy work with me.

What’s your favorite part of helping guests during their spa experience?

I love seeing and feeling the energy shift from before to after their service. I also love when clients ask for recommended self care.

What inspired you to work in the spa and wellness industry?
I wanted people to feel more confident in their own skin and I also love the relaxing atmosphere

What is your favorite service to perform and why?
A brow wax because the results are always so satisfying and it only takes a couple of minutes

What is one thing guests might be surprised to learn about you?
I am only 19 and I started here back in January

What do you love most about working at the spa/hotel?
It is very relaxing, I also love my clients and co-workers, and it’s very flexible

If you could recommend one treatment to every guest, what would it be?
Try a Brazilian wax if you haven't but if not a body scrub is so nice, it leaves you smooth for weeks.

What is your favorite way to relax when you’re not at work?
Chilling in my bed watching a show with my cat Christy

What is your go-to self-care routine?
Take an everything shower, wash my face, shave my face or a chemical peel, and finishing with toner, moisturizer, lip balm, and maybe a pimple patch

What is a fun fact about yourself?
I’ve been to Nigeria, Africa and my parents live there right now.

What’s your favorite part of helping guests during their spa experience?
It's nice being able to just see them relaxing and having a good time.
