September 2025 is full of Ageless Adventure here at Sunset Park Place!
We’re excited to share our September newsletter and activity calendar with you—packed with engaging programs, events, and opportunities to connect.
Here are a few highlights this month:
National Assisted Living Week – September 7–12, with a week of celebration and special activities.
Senior Seminar – Tuesday, September 9 at 5:00 PM, presented by Kim Hedrick from Hawkeye Care Center.
Mini Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Saturday, September 13 at 10:30 AM here at Sunset Park Place.
Family & Friends Picnic – Saturday, September 13 at 11:30 AM (immediately following the walk). RSVPs are required for lunch—please call 563-583-7939.
Looking ahead:
Memories of the heART – Thursdays in October from 1–3 PM.

The Twist & Shout Party rocked our socks off! 🎶🕺💃
Guests stepped into the "Sunset Diner" for a delicious maid-rite basket lunch, surrounded by pink-and-black décor under a sea of spinning 45s.

A big shoutout to Angie and Bridget from Care Initiatives Hospice for cruising the “soda fountain” right to our tables! 🥤 They served up Root Beer Floats, Creamsicles, and Purple Cows — earning the proud title of Official Soda Jerks. 🏆

After lunch, the fun kept rolling with The Wundo Band! 🎵 Everyone loved tapping their toes, singing along, and enjoying the tunes that brought a flood of memories and smiles. ❤️
