Happy Earth Day 🌎

Mindfulness isn’t just something we practice inside—it’s all around us.

Today is a simple reminder to slow down, step outside, and reconnect with the world around you. Whether it’s taking a few deep breaths, noticing what you hear, or feeling the ground beneath your feet, small moments of awareness can make a big impact.

Try it with your kids, your students, or take a moment for yourself.

How will you connect with nature today? 🌿

Mental and emotional health are just as important as physical health—especially for children.

Just because a child thinks something doesn’t mean it is true.

About Us

Mindful Minutes for Schools is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that funds educational opportunities for children and their educators in the greater Dubuque area to build skills with a unique curriculum that guides young minds and bodies into practices of mindfulness, reflection and emotional health through the practices of yoga. Teachings are offered during the traditional school day, practiced in an integrative manner in the hands of licensed educators. The goal however, is for children to apply these lessons inside and outside the classroom for years to come.

There has been extensive research in the last decade that connects these practices to mental and emotional wellness for our children as they grow into adulthood. In our fast paced, anxiety prone, hectic world, these tools help children of all income levels, races, cultures, religions and educational levels to gain life skills that otherwise are not taught in traditional classroom settings.
