πMy friend deserves the spotlight todayπ
Back in 2022, I had a client referred to me from the Wendt Cancer Center. She had just finished chemo, was about to begin radiation, and desperately needed some eyebrows, and a pick-me-up.
When cancer patients/survivors come to me and share their story, they feel weak- vulnerable, and down on themselves. The truth is, they are stronger than any other woman who walks through my door. Having the willpower to fight against something they could just give up on is truly inspiring.
I've seen Jennifer many times over the past 3.5 years and each time she looked healthier, but yesterday when she came in for a touch-up, she looked AMAZING. She has been working so hard to lose weight naturally and just finished her last surgery from cancer ππ
One thing that really stuck with me from our visit is that she is finally done faking being happy and actually is. I love this for her, as I know cancer doesn't just affect your physical health, but your mental as well. The before and after below isn't just about weight-loss, the pain in her eyes has a much deeper story than the surface.
Before leaving, she handed me $100 and asked me to put it towards my next cancer survivor π₯Ή
