Our Autism Services department collaborated with the University of Dubuque to provide these psychology students with experiential learning as part of a course on Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA). After learning about ABA in the classroom, the students were able to see firsthand how our Autism Services team uses evidence-based practice to provide individualized therapy to children and adolescents at the Weber Autism Center.

At Hills & Dales, our Dreams & Desires program is all about making lifelong wishes come true for the individuals we support—because everyone deserves the chance to experience something truly special. Recently, in partnership with our friends at Camp Courageous, Coltin took a dream trip to Florida, where he soaked up the sunshine, visited exciting attractions, and made unforgettable memories with friends and staff. These experiences are more than vacations—they’re opportunities for growth, confidence, and connection. Through Dreams & Desires, we help the people we serve see new places, try new things, and live life to the fullest. We’re so grateful to everyone who supports this meaningful program—your generosity helps make dreams like this possible!

On November 15, we celebrate 52 years since Elaine Barwick founded Hills & Dales—a place created out of love for her son, Jaime, and others living with intellectual and physical disabilities.

From those beginnings in 1973 to today, Hills & Dales has grown into a vibrant community where hundreds of individuals have been—and continue to be—supported by an incredible network of staff, families, friends, and community partners.

The Hills & Dales LifeTime Center is hosting our annual Thanksgiving meal on Wednesday, Nov. 19th! Come enjoy turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and many more traditional Thanksgiving fixings! Be sure to call Patti at 563-556-3305 before Nov. 19th to get your reservation in!

It was a "paw-some" weekend for this trio! Ivy and Jaden got to check out the Dock Dogs event at Five Flags and Ivory spent some time visiting this pup at the Library! We love being out and about in our community!

Our Dyersville Autism Services clinic had a wonderful time trick-or-treating at area businesses last week! The clients showed off their great costumes, collected plenty of treats, and shared lots of smiles along the way.

During National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re thrilled to celebrate Hannah, who recently started her new job at Plato's Closet - Dubuque, IA! With the support of her job coach and the Hills & Dales Supported Employment program, Hannah explored different employment opportunities and found the perfect fit.

At Plato’s Closet, Hannah shines while doing light housekeeping and merchandising consigned items. She’s not only building valuable work skills but also forming meaningful connections in the community.

We’re incredibly grateful to businesses like Plato’s Closet that create inclusive environments and empower individuals to pursue their passions and build fulfilling lives.
