This week we were proud to host staff from DRA to the Hills & Dales Developmental and Behavioral Health Clinic. Their grant last year supported the buildout of the new clinic and various furnishings. We are excited about this new resource for our community and are beyond grateful for their continued support!

We are so proud of our talented Hills & Dales stars who recently participated in Penguin Project of the Quad Cities's production of Frozen!

The Penguin Project creates opportunities for individuals with disabilities to shine on stage, and our clients truly embraced every moment—learning lines, singing their hearts out, building friendships, and sharing their gifts with the community.

From rehearsals to the final curtain call, it was a joyful celebration of inclusion, confidence, and creativity. Bravo to our amazing Quad Cities performers and to The Penguin Project for making the magic happen!

We loved welcoming students from the Loras College Breitbach Catholic Thinkers & Leaders Program as part of their retreat a few weeks ago. These students brought the fun, enthusiasm and joy spending time with residents! Thanks for bringing your energy and smiles! We’re already looking forward to the next visit!

Ivy has been busy proudly selling Girl Scout Cookies and spreading smiles one box at a time. She sold at Theisen's this past weekend and even delivered cookies to some staff members — talk about full-service sweetness! Being part of Girl Scouts is such an exciting opportunity for Ivy to be included alongside her friends, build confidence, and share in the fun. She’s raising money to head to camp this summer, where she’s excited to make new friends and create special memories.

We were proud advocates last week at the Iowa State Capitol! With Autism Day on the Hill and Disability Employment Action & Awareness Day, we shared stories, made connections, and spoke up for policies that support inclusion, access, and opportunity. Thank you to the clients who made the trek to Des Moines to self-advocate, our staff and leadership team, and our legislators for listening!

We had so much fun today at the Residential Center with a few Dubuque Fighting Saints! Everyone's bowling skills were tested, they played games and brought great energy and lots of laughs with them. Such a kind, engaging group—we’re grateful they took the time to visit and make our day extra special. Thanks for being such great sports, Saints!

Our friends from Bay View Middle School in Green Bay, WI, didn’t just visit last week — they showed up, jumped in, and made the rounds across all our programs! From smiles to high-fives and meaningful moments with clients and staff, their time with us was full of connection (and a lot of fun). They brought so much energy, care, and curiosity with them we wrote a full blog post about it!
