Dubuque Fire Equipment, Inc will be CLOSED Thursday July 3rd, & Friday July 4th, reopening Monday July 7th at 8 am for normal business hours of 8 am-4 pm Mon-Fri, in order for our associates to celebrate our Independence Day festivities with their families & friends. Mr. Powell, I truly respect your review on Google. However, it's very hard to learn from reviews if the facts are not stated appropriately, truthfully or completely. Yes, I did call the non-emergency dispatch on a vehicle that you had parked in front of my building. I am a retail industrial business who has a good amount of walk-in customers. Parking is very limited. On the morning of Tuesday, October 29th, one of your vehicles blocked my exit driveway for a period of time while you were unloading your vehicle into a U-Haul vehicle, nothing was said then. Per our surveillance around 10:30 am, you then parked your vehicle right in front of our front door on the street. However, that area is zoned & marked between 9:00 a.m and 6:00 p.m. as 2-hour parking only. At that time you removed all of your personal belongings and abandoned the vehicle. You did not come inside and state that you were leaving your vehicle there. After the vehicle sat there for a long period of time (4:30 pm 6 hours later) and you did not come inside as a customer or to request parking I did call the police. We became a little uneasy. Also the fact that it's a posted 2-hour parking zone you were already in violation. In the world we live in now, things like that tend to make people uneasy. You did not remove your vehicle until approximately 9: 30 a.m. on October 30th 23 hours after you parked it . This all could have been completely avoided if there was some common courtesy on your part and you would have came into the office and told us you were leaving your vehicle there. And to the City of Dubuque... .. If those 2-hour parking signs are not to be enforced, please remove them as I requested in 2015, 2017, & 2021. Thank you.

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Safely operate a delivery truck to transport CO2 cylinders to various customer locations.
• Load and unload CO2 cylinders, ensuring they are handled with care and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery times, customer signatures, and any discrepancies.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and traffic laws.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and cylinder maintenance.
Work Schedule:
• Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Occasional Weekends: As needed, based on delivery schedules and customer demands.
• Overtime: May be required during peak periods or for urgent deliveries.
• On-Call: Emergency deliveries.
Requirements:
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement
• Clean driving record.
• Previous experience in delivery driving is preferred but not required.
• Must pass yearly DOT required physical examination and random DOT required drug testing
• Ability to lift and move heavy cylinders (up to 100 lbs.) regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent
